Albert Adomah 6.5/10 Replaced Gaston Ramirez which injected some pace although it was his defensive duties which will be noted, tracked back for the final half hour and added some protection to the back line when Sunderland were mounting pressure to get back into the game. What? :D
richmfc 41
I think karanka told adohma to go on and calm things down and he took it too literally
Uwe 3,545
I think karanka told adohma to go on and calm things down and he took it too literally No.... I think Karanka said "Albert you can be a hero now go out there and give a performance of the like has never been seen before in the premier league" And that he did :D

boro-unger 3,870
Sunderland v Middlesbrough 21-Aug-2016 Thanks to another record number of contributors this week (55)! Adam Forshaw claims the oneBoro MOTM, narrowly beating Stuani to the coveted prize
Brunners 7,982
Man people need to stop giving Dave "Come on after 88 minutes" Nugent ratings. 2 games in a row now. Other than that, there's nothing there that stands out as overly unfair this week. Think AA is lucky to receive a 3.88 personally.
Will 2,958
Downing creeping up the ratings, rightly so on his performances this season.
Jimmy 140
Fair reflection I think. A slow start for Clayton this season, I'm sure he will find his feet soon.
boro-unger 3,870
And here's the press comparison... It would appear we as a forum are were lot more critical of Adomah than the (mainly neutral) press were, giving him 31% lower ratings than the press average. The press were also apparently more willing to overlook more mistakes that Guzan made, giving him 11% better ratings than we. Lastly, we seemed to see an extra 10% in Barragan, Forshaw and Ramirez that the press did not!
Brunners 7,982
Wow and whoscored REALLY liked George Friend on Sunday compared to every other outlet. They think he was the 3rd best Boro player on the day. Not sure I'd agree with that personally although he did grow into the game.
p_mards 1,365
People must have only judged Friend on being beaten by Januzaj at the beginning of the game. He performed far better than that IMO.
boro-unger 3,870
I think the ratings also show that skysports didn't actually watch the game, despite it being broadcast on them... "err boss, we feel asleep in the game again" "don't worry about it fella, just give everyone a 6 apart from that Argentinian lad that scored a couple, that's all anyone will have noticed anyway..." Arskite 75
Realise Ayala was only a sub, but he was a little underrated at 6.09 IMO. He really steadied the ship and calmed the slightly frantic defence down when he came on. Other than that the ratings are pretty spot on for me. Feel a little sorry for Adomah, he was brought on when we were camped in our own half - not his forte, especially on the left. Didn't perform well though.

Their ratings are purely statistical analysis so with with George making the second most tackles with 5, joint most clearances with 7 etc. it will stand him in good stead for a decent rating.
