Red Rocket 244
I was wondering if anyone can give me any help and advice. I have the original PS4 with a 500G hard drive. As you can imagine this fills up really quickly and I'm sick of having to send my save files to the cloud and delete games from my system. What is the best (and cheapest) way to upgrade my storage capabilities? I don't really want to have to buy a new system because this one works fine and the newer ones seem like pointless upgrades. Any advice would be much appreciated. :D
Denzel Zanzibar 6,931
Just buy a bigger hard drive. The PS4 is stupidly easy to upgrade storage-wise, literally the only thing you have to do is slide out the old one and pop the new one in. Just make sure you back everything on the old one up to the cloud first. There's instructions on how to do it on Sony's PS4 website.
Red Rocket 244
It seems weird that it's that easy haha. Are there hard drives specific for PS4?

It is but it's an excellent decision by Sony. I don't think you need a PS4 specific hard drive either, but I've personally not upgraded mine yet so couldn't say for certain. OldManGravz 1,311
I don't think it was supported at first but I'm sure there's just been or is gonna be a system update soon to support an external hard drive.
