Great that we stand more chance. BUT. I really wanted to see ibra and pogba

Enjoy watching them on TV in all of their other games!

Or even better watch them live next season when we play then again.

I'm really in two minds. If we win or draw I'm glad they didn't play. If we lose I might have well of seen then

Hoping to see a bit of change. Three in midfield keeps us solid, but we don't have the quality to play an effective lone front three in front of three defensive players in the middle. We need to score goals, but we need to still have some sort of effective defensive core as well. And I feel that two at the back AND two in central midfield might leave us too open, so still fancy some variation of 3-4-3.

------------------------- Valdes -------------------------

----------- Chambers - Ayala - Gibson -----------

- Traore ------- Clayton - De Roon ----- Fabio -

------------------------ Ramirez ------------------------

------------------ Stuani - Negredo ------------------

Barragan or Bernado to slot into the back 3 if Ayala or Chambers aren't fit. Risky to drop Friend, but on second thoughts not sure he has the quality to be our outlet out wide as a wing-back. Traore's pace is obviously a huge plus point in his game, but his goal/assist record is clearly lacking! Maybe a role further out wide would suit (a la Chelsea rumoured interest). Would be interesting anyway.

1-1.

I can see Agnew throwing a curveball and play a classic 4-4-2 to give us some presence up front and in their box. This is his chance to show that he can get us the goals we have been missing,

--------------------Valdes-------------------

Barragan-Bernardo-Gibson-Fabio

Traore-Clayton-De Roon-Downing

-----------Negredo-Gestede------------

That's oobviously depending on injuries to Bernardo, Friend and Gestede, but that is a classic formation I'd like to see and just get the ball forward.

With United missing both Pogba and Herrera I think we can afford to take the midfield battle a little lightly and put an extra man up front. We'll probably still lose but this is a time to show the fans that we are ready to try and score some goals.

I'm sensing you've identified a weakness down United's left hand side...

No it must be a clever tactic. De Roon right wing and Downing as the linesman :P

Mourinho's comments about he knows which of our players got Karanka the sack will surely only add an extra spice to the game for our players. Man Utd seem vulnerable at the moment with their injuries/suspensions and packed fixture list so I think we can go into the game confidently knowing that we're facing them at a very good time.
