Gibson Selling

Recommended Posts

In what world would anyone with no link to the club want to buy it?

it doesn't stack up i'm afraid.

And why would we want to sell it to some foreign owners who don't care about the supporters?

Well we wouldn't be, Gibson would.

And I assume for the same reason anyone sells anything to make or recoup money.

The club loses money on a weekly basis.

Why would someone without any link to the club want to buy a club that loses large sums of money year on year?

We're not the only club that loses large sums of money.

I think that depends on which one of them is posting.

In what world would someone with no link to a Premier League club want to buy them?

Jesus, this place at times cracks me up :)

In fairness, if it went through in the summer still they'd be knowingly buying a Championship team which is a whole different kettle of fish.

So just to be clear, people are okay with Gibson running the ship poorly in a bid to keep costs as low as he can for himself because he knew it would no longer be his club anymore so wasn't really ar-sed where we ended up so long as he walked away with his company debts paid and a tidy profit.

Either it's complete rubbish or we've been conned and there's only been one winner.

20k+ fans out of pocket by £400+ each and he walks away with a £7m payout.

To be clear this means over 30 year reign he has made a profit from the fans.

If true I will know longer accept the keeping the club afloat argument. Always the fans and always will be. The club, no all clubs no matter the sport is nothing without them

Even if this was true, a £7m payout wouldn't come close to scratching the surface of the debts he's written off over the years.
