It does sound like the big turning point is the money. We want to offer the service that so many of us have used elsewhere for £5 per game for free. That's quite an investment from the club.

 

And to boot, we currently have free commentary as mentioned above, for all games, not just league games. Obviously not the same as a live stream but at least it's not a dodgy new commentary team, it links through to BBC Tees, for better or for worse.

 

We want to offer it for free and the suppliers want a pay wall? Fair enough, as all other fans would likely use our free services instead of paying at the other clubs. However MFC could just give the fans that pay for a season pass a gift certificate to the club shop. And/or as soon as you have bought more than 5 games you get a similar amount to the club shop. That should root out the away fans and only give the gift cards to actual boro fans.
