Summer Transfer Thread, (Closes 8pm tonight)

Braithwaite, Britt and ojo would mean one of gaston or traore are definately leaving I'd think.1

I don't think so, Britt is a CF, which we need anyway, Ojo and Braithwaite are both LW, which again, we have zero options there so we need the 2 anyway. I just think it pushes Downing further out the door.

LW - Ojo,Braithwaite,

CF - Assombalonga, Bamford, Gestede & Stuani

RW - Traore, Bamford

CAM - Ramirez, Howson

I think thats about right tbh.

Random bloke on twitter

Martin Braithwaite is set to sign for Middlesbrough for a fee close to £9m, a source close to the player tells me #UTB #Boro

Another one I won't believe has signed until i see him with a pen signing a contract

Gazette have put out an article on Braithwaite.

Are the Gazette just unable to report a players actual position or could we be signing him to play up top? I think it's more likely he's our new first choice left winger.

The only way we can sign Assombolonga is by pushing the transfer fee and wages to such a high level that the likes of Watford and Burnley back out of any deal.

Ojo plays a lot from the left aswell though, plus with those 5 players around that's a lot of wages for a championship team, agree that it pushes downing further out though.

Anyone see us playing 4-3-3?

Not with that many forwards on the books.

A 4-3-3 means we sell Gaston.

RW - Bamford/Traore/Stuani

LW - Ojo/Braithwaite

CF - Assombalonga(?)/Gestede/Stuani

As we saw last year, Gaston doesn't really fit anywhere bar No.10, and wouldn't be happy to play LW anyway.

As said above, that would also mean a definite end for Downing.

Chances are Stuani leaves too, meaning Chapman is that third man on the right, with Bamford being the third alternative up front.

I think we'll stick with the 4-2-3-1 personally.

Bloody hell .. some movement today like!

Honestly thought that Braithwaite link was just some obscure *** made up on Twitter .. watching his videos when the story first popped up, was hoping there'd be truth in it. Him and Assombalonga next through the door .. wow .. Monk is building some side.

If these get over the line, that's class.

Nixon seemed shocked by the money were talking about for assombalonga, which probably wouldnt be the case if it were at the reported 15mil mark. I have a feeling we could be looking at 20mil plus, unless he was talking about the wages..

Not ITK at all but was told 18.4 in total including 20% sell on clause and a promotion clause.

Wages 40k per week.

Not sure how true it is or isn't just what someone said they were told... prob rubbish

Assombalonga is on £40k at Forest.

Randolph 5mil

Bartley 5mil

Assombalonga 15mil

Braithwaite 9mil

Ojo loan

Keep de roon, gibson, gaston and traore and we have had a perfect transfer window for in and around the rumoured 30mil budget considering sales and future outgoings. Wouldn't be the end of the world to balance the books a bit by selling de roon.

Swans want 15m for Bartley

That can't be right,

Don't agree with that, he performed better last season as a lw than when he was at #10, was probably more down to our terrible midfield but he can definately perform there.
