Preston absolutely dominating us. We can’t even get out of our own half and all we can do when we get the ball is just to hoof it up to an isolated Britt who is weaker than a 10 year old.

How many caps must Downing Howson Leadbitter and Guideuora have between them... Preston running rings round them

No that's not what's happening.  When we're playing the ball up to Britt like that, those are just long passes like Glenn Hoddle used to do.  This isn't 'hoofball' or whatever you want to call it.  This is precision football.

Turgid stuff.

Not looking good so far, though our goal was decent.

Traore playing so deep when they have the ball and we have no out ball except Britt. He is so isolated though, we need the wingers playing higher up and one of the center mids to get much closer to Britt. Guedioura seems to be playing ok but unsurprisingly a bit off the pace.

3 midfielders are just to static only Downing trying to make it work .

Leadbitter/Howson and Guédioura doing nothing to impress at present.

Downing moves into the middle naturally anyway but he's having to do it today because he's the only one out there that's any good and can pass a ball.

We’re just not a good team. It’s almost embarrassing thinking how much we’ve spent and still look like an average team.

Every time we actually manage to get a touch of the ball, there is absolutely nothing going on. No movement, nobody available. Every touch is lacking, every pass is going nowhere. Everyone looks absolutely shattered.
