Boro vs Norwich City (a) 0-1

So in the end they actually did the right thing. It wasn't a straight red.

I think Borodane is right here. When you watch the replay, Gestede clearly gets to the ball first, and plays it. His momentum/other leg then comes through, which I think makes it look worse. However, physically I don't think there's too much else that he could do when going for that ball with full commitment.

I know you have to be 'in control' these days, but I don't think the tackle was reckless. I agree with Dane... and the FA that it wasn't a straight red. As such not a ban!

[Personally] I think it looks worse than it is.... but each to their own:

It was a straight red. Studs up and into the players ankle. No question. That's a red card.

No. Humpty has spoken. Therefore there can be no discussion.

Were you even at the game? If not, your opinion isn't worth the same as mine, or anything at all to be honest.

There was talk at the beginning of this month that if they couldn't cut around £150 Million off the wage bill for this season, that the threat of bankruptcy was very real.
    • As others have said, I would guess that the team that finished the derby game will likely start this fixture, with those who were subbed being introduced late on. The 5 subs rule allows us to comfortably rotate an entire attacking setup. Very useful if you have a good enough manager to utilise it.
    • If you dont mind a short drive get yourself booked into Art La Vey up towards Newcastle. That guy is head and shoulders above most in Boro. Mark at Nothingsacred in Stockton is class if you're wanting some dotwork done

It boils down to the lad's views on his future, his contract ends there ends in the summer, so everything in his hands, If he does not fancy move, then "agreement on terms could not be reached. If he wants away, not a lot we can do to stop him but there are not that many top rem teams looking for keepers, so it should be fairly easy to work out likely suspects, assuming not jut agent talk trying to get us to make decent offer in future
