You can hear Tony on the sideline yelling "Just give it to Adama"

I think that is our only tactic he has written down.

Ryan Mason on SSN saying we haven't been a threat at all. Disappointing.

He’s right. We are so one paced it’s beyond belief.

I know that pass from Besic was poor... but every time we passed the ball, you can hear Pulis shouting to get it to Adama, even when the pass isn't on. Do well to keep his gob shut during the build up.

Clayton did nothing against Wolves to keep his place in todays team. No qualms with that change. Shotton has travelled so i dont think hes injured.

Neither did Leadbitter or for that matter Besic.

They both contributed more than Clayton did.

No they didn't.  As per usual Leadbitter contributed absolutely nothing at all and Besic was garbage as well.  Clayton was asked to do a job that doesn't suit him, the other two weren't and did nothing.

Downing is shockingly crap going forward.

And has been most of the season though a lot of folks continue having faith in him, our faithful four are the main reasons we are where we are

Truly awful.

If we got promoted by some miracle, we'd need 8 new starting players. Traore, Gibson and Randolph the only players who resemble anything close to what's required in the premier league, the rest all midtable championship at best.

Who's the fourth member of the faithful four? Im assuming Clayton and Leads are your other two.

Yes they did. If we speaking in relative context of the midfield three. Leadbitter and Besic at least got their foot on the ball. Off the ball they closed players down. I really couldn't tell you what Clayton did on or off the ball. Don't get me wrong none of the three had a good game but Clayton was a waste of a shirt.

Completely agree with this. Wouldn't start any of the rest of them in the Prem.

    • I'd bet that Warnock will be our manager next season...unless he has a sudden change of heart / health. To be honest I'm not sure this is the right time to be getting a new manager in and changing things around. Until there is more clarity / certainty over the future of football in general and the club gets back on a sounder financial footing, I think we'll be treading water. As I've said before, I'd be very surprised if NW stays more than another season or two, purely on age / health grounds, but I think it will take at least that long for Boro to start thinking more long-term...unless, as some have suggested, Jepson takes over the reins.
    • I feel like keeping Warnock for another season is a bit of shame in terms of being a potential opportunity missed. If we are being realistic it's pretty unlikely we'll get into the top 6 this season and this summer would have been as good a time as any to lay the foundations on a long-term plan. The high earners from Monk's/Gibson's spending splurge will be gone, we have a decent core of younger pros on long contracts giving us an opportunity to mould the squad with a few additions into a really good footballing side, importantly with the next few seasons in mind. That said I feel like the foundations of that long-term plan would have to go further than just the head coach, we'd need specialists in certain roles and we'd need a Director of Football to oversee that construction of the wider backroom staff and then the on-field matters. But I've come to accept that, that is a bit of a pipe dream and so we will continue to lurch from short-term appointment to short-term appointment, until on the off chance we strike it lucky (like we did with Karanka). My only hope is that we allow Warnock to sign the players he needs but on short-term deals or at least with one eye on how they'd at least fit different footballing style. I can imagine if he doesn't get us up next season he won't be hanging around, and I don't want to see us lumbered with another bloated expensive squad after he's gone. Then if we do get promoted I'm sure next season we will be having these very same conversations, would Warnock go out on a high or would he stick around for 1 season in the Prem.

    • I think since Woodgate was sacked the plan was to stabilise and then progress in this division. I'm not sure our ambition extended much further than that.
