My team id go with -

...............Randolph...................

Crainey, Ayala, Gibson, Fabio

............Clayton or Leadbitter.......

Troare...........................Harrison

.....................Besic.........................

.................Britt..Bamford...............

A team set up to have a go at Karankas stubborn defence and no offence against downing but he has not offered enough going forward for me last few games to Merit a place.

:D LOL.... Bad Will, you're just trying to get me going. I won't hurl any abuse. Thankfully that's now Forest fans' problem.

I don't dislike Karanka as much as you think. He did a decent job for us for a season and a half.

However, I admit that I do find it a bit weird how many people still seem to think that the sun shines out of his backside, despite the fact that we were pretty shocking from Jan-March 2016. Despite the fact that we lost to two relegation zone teams in a row (Rotheram & Charlton) when we were 2nd in the league, playing tedious Karankaball. Despite the fact that he walked out on the club. Despite the fact that he over saw one of our most abject top flight seasons ever.

Other than that, I agree... he's a managerial God.

Anyway... let's not re visit all of that.

Fingers crossed that we can get a result on Saturday. We need one, because Forest and Ipswich at home on the last day are our easiest remaining fixtures.

The rest will be really tough.

I'm gonna give him a good boo as all proper Boro fans should but sadly there aren't many proper fans around nowadays  :tear:

I take it the Pulis booing is already underway then?

I started that before he arrived!  ;)

I’m already disappointed with our next appointment:s

It could be worse...............................

The last time I saw Pulis take on Karanka I was sat in the stands at the Hawthorns thinking”If this was a boxing match the ref would stop it for non aggression” I expect exactly the same tomorrow and I have lumped on a goalless draw with the bookies

God yeah, that West Brom game was atrocious. Whoever picked that one for Sky must have been sacked.

That was the game that I said afterwards we'd struggle to stay up.

Difference is last time they were established at their clubs they both have not put their stamp on either team yet so it should be a little different this time around.

He will get a good reception, I'm pretty sure of that. Even those who didn't like his style of football will at least appreciate that he did a good job for 80% of the time he was here.

I'd question your percentage ;)

*swims up*

*sniffs bait*

*swims away*

    • BBC Tees said that the touted McNair swap was with Stoke for Sam Clucas. McNair has been brilliant so far this season so it seems like it was the right decision to keep him.
    • I'm delighted with the win. Warnock has worked absolute wonders with Fry, Dijksteel and McNair. This season I think we're going to be similar to our promotion winning team under Karanka, with the way that we'd do well against the better teams and struggle against the not as good teams. Finding a knack of winning them games like today is going to help us repeat them gritty wins against the lesser sides. Our style of football is going to be frustrating at times, sure, but I can easily accept it as we're going in the right direction after several years of drifting backwards in a seemingly unstoppable manner until Warnock came in. Considering the shambolic state that we were in last season, the incredibly tough opening fixture list and the disappointment in the transfer market, Warnock has done a fantastic job to turn us into such a highly effective team in such a short space of time. Some fans were similarly moaning about Karanka's style of play in our promotion season, however, he got us promoted in the end and even the most idealistic of us will have fantastic memories from his time here; certainly more good memories that the three and a half season since he left when we've had next to no good memories. If Gibson's track record is anything to go by then we're going downhill whenever Warnock leaves anyway so maybe we can stockpile the negativity to one side for then? We may as well try to enjoy these times of *fingers crossed* getting results ugly before Gibson plays “Teesside managerial roulette” again and appoints Roy Chubby Brown as our next manager after he convinces him through a Powerpoint presentation that he can get us playing football just like Liverpool. It's also worth noting how much our home record at home has turned around as it was abysmal. Last season we won 6, drew 8 and lost 9. So far this season we've won 2, drew 2 and lost 0. We're undefeated in 7 league games now too. Lets try to enjoy it.
    • plus Patrick Roberts basically in 1 on 1 and didn't hit the target.
    • I suppose we can’t ignore Marcus stinging  shot at the keeper and Sam hitting the bar. Had one gone in we could possibly have seen a bit more excitement.
