Managerial Merry-Go-Round

Recommended Posts

Just a bit of fun to tie us over before and between our 3 (;)) Play-Off games.

Loads of managerial changes this summer; who do you reckon will get each job? Winner gets a packet of Pickled Onion Space Raiders and a Freddo.

My Guesses:

***NAL - Luis Enrique

CHELSEA - Antonio Conte (to stay)

IPSWICH - Tim Sherwood

QPR - Steve McClaren

SUNDERLAND - Kevin Phillips

SWANSEA - Chris Coleman

WEST BROM - Dean Smith

Guess away!

All-but confirmed:

Unai Emery > ***nal

Manuel Pellegrini > West Ham

Looks like we may have a 'who's-who' of top managerial talent in the Prem next season. Pep, José, Klopp, Emery, Pellegrini, Pochettino... Even Rafa Benitez. Possibly even Conte at Chelsea. In fact, every major European league will have been won by a manager currently working in the Premiership:

Premier League:

Pellegrini / Guardiola / Mourinho / Conte

La Liga:

Guardiola / Mourinho

Bundesliga:

Guardiola / Klopp

Primera Liga:

Mourinho

Serie A:

Mourinho / Conte

Ligue 1:

Emery

We can’t afford the best players but we can afford the best managers

I know this is probably half tongue-in-cheek, but we absolutely can afford the best players. If Neymar/Messi wanted to come to England they would be here without a doubt.

We compete financially with everyone. But not really the real top players. I don’t think Man Utd would have bid 250mill for neymar or anyone else
