£15m+ want similar deal to Masson

They want a similar deal to Mawson?

I imagine we do. Using him as a benchmark for Gibbo.

We'll end up getting a decent amount of money from our sales (Fabio 1.5m, Bamford 7m, Traore £14m ish after Villa's cut, Gibson 14m ish, plus whaterver Barragan went for), at least it gives us a better chance of filling problem positions

If we end up losing Gibson and Adama :liar:

I can stomach Gibson but we're going to need a lot of players in if they go and on top of that potentially still Britt, Braithwaite, Johnson, Fletcher and Leadbitter, going to be a huge turn around in the last week of a transfer window.

Yeah we'll bring in lots of money and then waste it on garbage like we usually do I'd expect.

Adama was taking his medical last week for Wolves remember, let's stay positive whilst we can.

Yeah, at this point Adama has been gone about 4 separate times, I'll let it be true when he's stood holding the Wolves shirt.

The info I used to get was from someone high up. Doesn’t divulge anything anymore.

What I’ve heard today is from a player. Hopefully it’s wrong and I’d be love to be proven incorrect.

Oh dear. You would expect a player to have a good idea of what's going on

I’ve never ever been so pessimistic going into the start of a season. I’m dreading this season to be honest. I’m already getting that feeling of I can’t wait until next season and this one hasn’t started yet. I want to be positive but there’s nothing to be positive about. We are losing all our best players and look like we will end up with a team of plodders. I really think attendances are going to take a major hit this season unfortunately.

As Tony Mowbray said it is what it is... ultimately we have 40mil to get a balanced team. Doesn’t have to be full of flair but sort problem positions and we still have a chance.

    • I mean those are some pretty dreadful collective ratings for the players. I think it tells a pretty accurate story. Individually, players were not at the races and didn't give a toss on Saturday. But the changes to get us back into the game were ultimately more diabolical in terms of taking action. Don't quite know why the Gazette have decided to go along with the whole 'more forwards but somehow still no chances' piece that Woody came out with. You don't automatically solve your creative problems with more forwards and you certainly don't solve them with strikers like Britt and Gestede.
    • Just want to say good luck tomorrow lads, you have a busy week ahead. Hopefully will be watching it all play out on BT Sport.
    • End of this season players will be leaving  has their contracts come to an end. Other players will also be leaving wanting away and will be fetching hardly any money to the kitty. Woodgate will more than likely stay on because he is one of the cheapest about and although he has managerial status, seriously the backroom boys will still be running the show. Possible drop down a division losing loads of turnstile funds. I reckon in one word I would say the coffers will be empty and "Survival" is the medium/long term vision here.
    • I don’t understand how people can say that Gibson is not a footballing man. He’s been involved in the game for nearly three and a half decades. If you think he’s not a good footballing man well fair enough that’s your opinion but he is definitely time served at this point which qualifies him as a footballing man in my opinion.
    • I have to say I echo what @Changing Times and @p_mards have said in regards to appointments in key areas. In my opinion the biggest threat to having a consistent long-term vision is Gibson himself. He is not a footballing man and thus the decisions he makes are by and large poor. The sooner he relinquishes a bit of control over the footballing decisions the better. Getting a director of football into the club would be a good start. As we would then have a football person making football decisions.
