Everton fans are not complimentary of Bolasie just had a look on there forum, however completely the opposite when they are talking about Mo.

At a company workshop this afternoon Meant to be working on the next 7yr plan and writing user stories. But spent all of it on forums, Facebook and twitter instead.

Doubt Leadbitter will move down to London but they can have both Johnson and De Sart and some money.

I can’t see other championship clubs loaning out their top players (even with obligation to buy written in to it) so I think we need the likes of Wallace & Freeman completing today along with Besic.

Other than that I think Byram, Bolasie, Martina and all the other linked players can wait

I'm still confident on getting a couple of the below,

Bolasie

Ojo

Martina

Byram

Kalas

Martina

But just not today.

Today is about getting permanents over the line I reckon,

Besic

Freeman

Wallace

I was hoping for Sergi Canos, but not a peep on that front.

Which one of the Martinas would you rather have? :D

If we are chasing a RW today we are keeping it remarkably quiet there was 1 story on Wallace this morning and that was it then again besides O'Rourke no one else has picked Martina up yet we're keeping our cards close here. I agree on the window closing not being a disaster but I think it might if we don't sign a senior winger at all realistically the loan market will be about Musonda's and Ojo's we'd be risking a bit leaving no senior wingers on our books joining in cattle markets for PL young wingers on loan.

    • The thread title is probably my fault - as @Changing Times says, I'd posted a thread asking if it was time to abolish the FA. Maybe we need to keep that thread at the top of the board, so the correlation between that one and this is more obvious? Then again, apart from the title, nothing that's been said over the last four pages would come as a surprise to anyone at MFC. It's not like we're talking about chasing SG out of town with pitchforks, or hanging an effigy of him from the Transporter Bridge. Everyone knows what we achieved in the Noughties, but there's been one misstep after another for over a decade. That needs scrutinising, and our supine local press clearly isn't up to the job. Incidentally, since people in positions of authority apparently read this forum, I'd like to say hello to anyone at Red Bull who's reading this. Your drinks are excellent, and we would be delighted if you bought our club. Pleeeeease?
    • Considering we've had to play the top four sides, with a paper-thin squad and none of our transfer deadline day targets plus several injuries in key positions, I think we've started really well. Even the best managers need time to work their magic - Aitor tightened us up defensively almost straight away (as has Warnock), but it takes far longer to work on attacking flair, intuitive passing and clever set-pieces. Also, the team's confidence will be rising with every battling draw, sneaky win and clean sheet. I've seen mediocre teams on paper go on incredible runs because confidence is high and so winning becomes a habit. I wouldn't bet against us becoming one of the league's form teams as the season progresses, especially if we can sign a CB, LWB and CF in January.

    • Judged on who we have faced I think we have had a much better start than a lot of us would have said earlier.
    • Interesting thread well done Smogzilla. Back to the game, massively important that we are seen as the dominant team and that we are an attacking team expecially at home. Need a win otherwise we become the draw king specialists. We are not a relegation candidate this season and not too sure where we can finish but I do know that we are not too far off being a good team for the division. Take it to Coventry and get 3 points under the belt
