Summer Transfer Window 2018.

Recommended Posts

Braithwaite is a good player but the guy has no desire to be here, it's pointless forcing him to stay because he'll probably just throw the towel in until January.

Hopefully we'll get a couple of players in who have a bit of backbone. *** him.

Braithwaite finally getting played in his preferred position and then asking to leave...

We need to get back at least what we paid for him, otherwise he should stay and play for a move in January. If he spits his dummy out because we didn’t let him go with less than 48hours to go then he’s not the professional that he’s appearing to be

It’s a long season for a small squad but we need this group of players to get us to January, then we can try (and probably struggle) to get the right players in again.

Braithwaite's not got blistering pace he's neat on the ball and finishes well in the box with a good work rate I think Puncheon would do a similar job at this level without as many goals and has the tradeoff of being a set piece specialist. Got to be honest though I like Pulis in the press usually maybe he misspoke but if we sign Saville/Punch/HRK can he seriously say they weren't his choices or targets?

In this situation there is no chance I'd give Gestede to Aitor, I'm assuming our LB cover for the season will be Downing and Saville as well which is not ideal.

Also... if the rest of the squad didn’t know about Braithwaite they do now.

Course they know, it's been obvious all season.

Pulis said after a pre-season game that he only wants players who want to be here, that was in response in a question about Braithwaite.

This was always going to happen.

I feel sick.

After so much positivity on the pitch over the last few weeks, it seems like we are taking yet another blow off it. Surely we are due some good news?

First of all, Braithwaite is an absolute moron. We pay him a fantastic wage. He’s been given a second chance this season not only by Tony Pulis, but also the fans. It’s now pretty obvious that he’s been playing for a move the last few weeks and he has reared his true colours again and left us in a horrible situation. I wish we had the luxury of letting him rot in the under 18s.

And if Hal Robson Kanu is honestly his replacement, I give up. The fella is absolutely useless, living off one goal he scored in the Euros 3 years ago.

I just want this transfer window closed now. It’s been nothing but a bomb scare from start to finish.

Very saddened that Braithwaite wants to leave but if time runs out and he stays just how will Boro fans react to him?

I felt he was essential to this seasons campaign and was becoming one of the team with an important role and contribution to be made.

If we don't let him move I bet he's injured on Friday.

They definitely knew yesterday he refused to train or play again unless he could talk to Spanish teams

Get him gone. We all saw what happened with Gaston and Yakubu, we seem to be doing so well partly because of the team spirit, we don't need any toxicity seeping in and affecting it.

You've got to give it to pulis for being willing to just be honest every press conference. Gutting that Braithwaite still wants to go. He's been alot more professional than Ramirez though.

I'm just hoping we can spring a surprise in the loan window since none of the names linked seem to be the cure to our ills.

*** him off then, really don't want players like that at our club. Toxic.

Wow this transfer window has been a spectacular disaster. We are weaker all over the pitch now than we were when it opened, except centre mid. We seem to have lost all ambition to get promoted or have deluded ourselves that our fast start is a sign we are good enough.
