Boro v Sheffield United 3-0 (Braithwaite,Flint,Downing)

Recommended Posts

Depending on whether you believe such things, according to one of the other forums the team tonight is:

Randolph

Shotton

Fry

Flint

Friend

Clayton

Howson

Wing

Downing

Braithwaite

Assombalonga

That person has gotten it right before I seem to remember.

Feel like Tav did enough to earn a starting spot over Downing...

I’ve not even seen this advertised. I’ve had a google and can’t find anything. Great if it’s true

The Forest v West Brom game is on tonight so I imagine you'll be able to click the red button on that and go to the other games that are on tonight and watch them.  That's how I assume it will work.

Just press red on Sky Sports Football just before kick-off. You can see it listed on the schedule if you do it now on Virgin. Not sure if Sky lists a similar thing. It's also advertised as being on the red button if you read the preview for the game on Sky Sports.

Game is on sky sports

How do you watch through sky sports?

On red button apparently, can anyone confirm this?

That's what it's supposed to be yeah but this is the first time they'll have done it.

They ran a story on their website a few weeks ago, surprised it never got pushed more by them, surely will be popular. Every midweek game all season to be shown apparently

Basically any game that iFollow and other sites like the Boro service can show in the UK & Ireland. Which goes some way to explaining why Boro can show those matches to people who aren't overseas. They aren't within the Saturday 3pm kick-off windows and haven't been selected for regular TV coverage by any channel so are free to take hold of and stream properly. It won't be every midweek game but it will be a fair few of them.

I agree with just the one youth player, gives them more experience around them to work off of.

Well, 1 for 2 ain't a bad start! and I'd prefer Downing in over Leadboots so works for me!

God forbid...

Injuries to 2 of our defenders and we are screwed ...

Paddy is there, but I presume not fully fit...

It’s not a bad starting 11 is it.. couple more additions in the right areas and it’s not bad. For me the weak links are still Friend, Downing and Shotton. At least Grants not playing though. Excited to see a full 90 hopefully for Wing!

    • Sorry but this is such a naive perspective, BD. There is literally no one on this planet who has the authority to say that this virus is not dangerous in circumstances that literally involves close contact with other human beings. Nobody knows of a way to absolutely 100% not transmit the virus other than to literally not be next to people when you have it. Generally speaking, you have a point, I get that we can't just hide away in our homes forever. But the idea that there are circumstances in which people can be in physical contact with each other as they used to be and still be 100% safe really undermines where you're going with this. There are varying rates of risk and we can't move forward until everyone acknowledges that.
    • My hope is relegated clubs/those aiming for promotion might see Britt as a cheaper alternative to the other prolific strikers in this league. Dont want to start a debate on whether Britt is prolific but hope fellow board members get point am trying to make? He is viewed as one of the more established leading forwards at this level given he virtually guarantees you double figures each season at this level (bar this one) I imagine any offer of approx £4m+ gets you Britt..
    • I reckon the championship restart be a week later but the fixture schedule is gonna be ridiculous!
    • Or maybe there won’t be one. We can’t keep everything under lockdown until the virus is completely gone or there is a 100% cure. Obviously money is a question because a lot of jobs depend on the football industry but the professional sport itself is a very safe environment for everyone that’s in it.  The governments around Europe are simply starting various businesses up that is deemed safe and professional football behind closed doors isn’t dangerous in any way.
    • I suspect much of  the league is going to be in a similar position. We're quite lucky to have so many players running out of contract just as this economic crash is coming. I can see most of the league desperately trying to cut their wage bills.  Biggest downside is no one will be willing to spend money on Britt.
