JMC91 280
3 points and Bolton's first away defeat of the season. What's not to like about that? the torturous 90 minutes of drudgery we've all sat through.
Alfaboy 5
Couldn't watch the game as offshore on shift at the mo, but I'm happy with the win after suffering our first defeat against Norwich. We've drawn against 1 and beat 3 other teams currently in the top 6, I hope we continue to play as bad as some say we are!!!! :)

wilsoncgp 9,279
We were hardly up against strong opposition tonight and yet we struggled to really impose ourselves on the game for large periods. We weren't really under threat of losing but my concern is the same as it has been after wins over Sheffield United and Brum, that we've done the business against a group of lesser teams but so far not shown enough to say we'll overcome those better than us. We aren't giving much away which is good but even one of our supposed strengths has gone a bit soft these last couple of games in the set-pieces. I'll be happy as long as the points keep rolling in but I'd feel much better about tonight if we didn't win through 2 goals that were put on a plate for us.

You can't just discount them victories and use Bolton, Sheff U and Brum as the examples. I agree with your points regarding imposing ourselves etc, we need to start taking chances and making chances when we're in good positions, the amount of times we get players to the byline and not pick anyone out is a joke atm. ladyspite 385
so far we played 8 games, in those 8 games we have played 4 teams who are currently in top 6 and taken 10 points out of those 4 games Last season we mostly failed because we dident take points agianst the top 6 (not untill the end anyway) every game is a new game, stop fretting so damn much people..... We beat Sheff Utd (who I believe are very close to top 6), we beat Bristol City (top 6). We probably should have beat Leeds. Yeah, sometimes we struggle to close out games, but Birmingham we should have won 5-0 that was just bad finishing.

RealSlimSladeyy 769
Good 3 points. I don’t think we played particularly well tonight, we were solid at best. But the game didn’t require us to play well. I think the ‘if we played like this against a better side we’d get beaten’ argument is flawed as every game is different. Bolton never really pressed us, we just did what we had to do. Under Pulis we’re a pragmatic side. It’d be nice for us to sense blood and try hammer them but that’s not going to happen with him in charge. We’ll play to the demands of the particular game we’re in and, with that in mind, I’m sure our performance levels will increase during what should be a tougher test against Swansea. It’s very rare I feel this when watching boro games but I was so bored during that match. Very little to get excited about. Even just the small things, the small breakaways where it looks like something might just happen and everyone looks on in anticipation. Barely any of that tonight. Ah well, as I say good 3 points. We move on. Utb

boro-unger 3,870
Not a classic match by any means, but I'll take a scrappy win. Thought Howson did really well again, he always tries to drive us forward. Braithwaite, clauts and Saville did well also. Hugill was being wrestled all over the place, having his shirt pulled etc and got nowt from the ref (who was fairly useless all night)
Changing Times 12,339
Well if that game doesn't get people flocking back to Oneboro then nothing will.
Changing Times 12,339
Absolutely sucking the life out of this football club as he did at the previous ones where he stayed for any length of time. The atmosphere was as flat as a fart and really who can blame anyone when you know you're sitting through 90 mins of that. Fair play to Bolton though, they did the honourable thing and gifted us a goal or we'd have gotten no more than a point tonight.
