Dan1234 1,056
I'd like to see what Mcnair can offer. Randolph Fry Ayala Flint Shotten Mcqueen Mcnair Clayton 1 of about 6 Britt Braithwaite That’s four changes. You can’t keep changing 4/5 players every time you lose Braithwaite should never have been changed anyways, we've gone to sh"T as any sort of a attacking threat without him. Friend has been a bit Meh, and Downing has been his non existent self. Don't see the problem with changes tbh.

BegSteeleOrBoro 55
Brilliant Match Thread. Excellent. William Shakespeare please forgive... (but you’ve inspired me...) Once more up the pitch, defence, once more; And meet the ball with a flashing head. At set-piece there's nothing so becomes a man As modest stillness and humility: But when the whistle blast blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of Ayala; Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage; Then lend Dael Fry a terrible aspect; Let fly through the portage of the head Like the brass cannon; let then Howson o'erhead it As forcefully above a Redcar rock O'erhang and jutty his confounded base, Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean. Now pick McQueen and stretch Stu Downin’ wide, Hold hard Braithwaite and send up Aden Flint To his full height. On, on, you noblest English. Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof! Fathers that, like so many Assombalongas, Have in these parts from morn till even fought And sheathed their swords for lack of argument: Dishonour not the boro; now attest That those whom you call'd Pulis did select you. Be copy now to men of grosser blood, And teach them how to score. And you, good Shotton, Whose limbs were made in England, show us here The mettle of your pasture; let McNair At the back post steal in; when he’s mark’d not; For there is none of you so mean and base, That hath not noble Clayton in your team. I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips, Straining upon the start. The game's afoot: Follow Mo Besic, and upon this charge Cry 'God for Tony, the Boro, and Saint George

sackrobson2 371
I'd definitely bring Braithwaite back in then put Downing left wing back to add a bit more forward thinking from that position. This should help the midfield 3 get back to their performances from before the break, actually having some options to go forward. The system at the weekend was so wrong. Randolph Fry Ayala Flint Shotton Besic Clayton Howson Downing Britt Braithwaite
Downsouth 6,328
Going to say this but since we lost the services of Wing, Fletcher, Tavernier and the like the enthusiasm and unpredictability has gone from our performances, we need something to inject this aspect of our game again
Maccarone 265
We need to freshen things up a bit against Bolton, I think Saville may start, possibly Hugill as well.
Downsouth 6,328
I know it will not happen but I would be quite glad to see Tav and Wing playing from the off, certainly Braithwaite would benefit from having Tav passing to him. Giving this game some thought and obviously to quickly forget the awful away day at Norwich we should be looking at this game as a "must win" because Swansea are rapidly improving and in no way a walk over and probably going to be our hardest test at home. This to me and I say this in a humble way (in keeping with the opening post) could verily becometh thy mostest and of great import gameth of thyne season...…………...so fareth!!! wilsoncgp 9,283
I don't think losing Fletcher or Tav has really done anything. Wing, for sure. He offers something a bit different. The main difference in the last 2 games has been Braithwaite because in taking him out, we've changed shape to something more negative. We all know why he didn't play at Leeds and rightly so. Less happy about him not playing at Norwich but I'd be hugely surprised if he wasn't back in the team soon. Everyone, even Pulis, can see what a difference he made. Perhaps with his international involvement, he didn't feel he had a good feel on where his head was at or his fitness. We'll see tomorrow how Pulis reacts to that Norwich game. SouthernSmoggie 4,242
Hate to say it but I think this week was somewhat of a return to reality and we will be in big trouble every time we concede first. Don't think we will score enough goals for top 2 this season but will finish comfortably in the play offs. For this game would like to see McQueen at Lwb and Downing at Rwb with Braithwaite returning to support Britt. I feel we've got away with Friend and Shotton at wing back- fine for backs against the wall defending but they're not good enough on the ball for a game we're expected to dominate. Maybe give Saville or Wing a start over Besic too for the same reason.
