The switch of formation has surely got to be a result of the injury to him. Alex Neil in the build-up to the game was discussing how we've switched to 4-3-3 now from the 3-5-2 that he was used to in our previous games against Preston. It's a huge curve-ball for Preston, albeit due to Downing's injury, as I don't think anyone saw it coming. Hopefully the positive off catching them off-guard can outweigh the negative of the injury and switch to a less attack-minded system. The height in our team from corners is going to be a huge strength from us. A line-up with Ayala, Flint, Batth, Fry, Friend, Gestede and Hugill (plus Saville who's also pretty tall) is going to make us look like the land of giants walking out of the tunnel.
