Tudders80 674
How has Tim Walter shortened so much? Took off his Cuban heels? Those markets move with very little money wagered. They do. But who is betting on him? He's not one of the names that everyone seems to want. Seems strange that his odds would be shortening
Boro Badger 87
Oh thank *** - he’s finally gone!
LinoJo3 3,096
Someone has probably heard we’ve been in touch with him, thing is people seem to forget we won’t just contact 1 guy, as Gibson himself said we’re talking to 8. So just because we’ve contacted him doesn’t mean he’s definately the guy.
Borodane 6,246
Has Gibson said we are talking to 8 candidates?
LinoJo3 3,096
I think so in that statement he made, unless I’ve completely imagined it!
mj south 610
I'd love to see the list of 8, its seems alot though. I see GVBs odds have fallen on Skybet, he would be an interesting one
LinoJo3 3,096
I imagine woodgate is one of them, then it looks like cowley is another.
LinoJo3 3,096
Have to say even though it is just an odds list it’s good to see some imaginative names in there rather than the standard Pearson, ince, souness stuff we usually end up with!

It certainly is. If you compare our list on paddypower to that of WBA I am much more excited with ours.

sanddancer 1,964
I think if Woodgate DOES get the job, the fact he hasn't been announced straight away and there's been 'deliberations' about it might just be a way of making it look like the club have done their due diligence, reviewed all the candidates, and decided that Woodgate is actually the best for the job. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it, but if he was announced straight away there would likely be a lot of talk of 'jobs for the boys', but by leaving it a couple of weeks they might be trying to send out the message that hiring Woodgate was a well thought out appointment, based on him being 'the best candidate'. I agree And could you please forward me the Woody "stories" in private message, thank u ;) I hope your thinking is wrong, Woodgate is not the manager to lead the club. mendieta420 988
I imagine woodgate is one of them, then it looks like cowley is another. Nixon reckons Cowley wasn't interested in talking to WBA, so not sure how our chances would fair..
ManBearPig 1,833
For me, I don't see Cowley leaving Lincoln. He's too invested into the community and project at Lincoln to up sticks. It's only a 2hr commute but I think the foundations for what he's done at Lincoln are too much to pull him away. (I am no way itk but my previous job had a lot to do with an education programme which had close ties with Lincoln City. A source from the club says its "highly unlikely they are looking to move anytime in the near future"). My moneys on Woodgate unfortunately, as I think that will be the best stepping stone for Gibbo)

He might be happy at Lincoln but it would be an enormous step up when you compare the size of us and them.
LinoJo3 3,096
Nixon also said pulis was on a rolling contract and we had to give him a 12 month pay off... As for cowley would he really turn down a championship team who would more than 5x his wage? If he did you could admire his loyalty but you’d also have to question his self belief.
