So what could this press conference be? Is there further news to come? Or is it just a chance for Gibson and/or bauser give an update on the business side and give woodgate their full public backing etc?

seriously mate, it's done.  I think everyone gets your opinions on this...but The club/Gibson have made the decision they are entitled to make, time to move on. you can be angry at the club

FWIW -The Chinese discussions with Gibson were centered more towards Bulkhaul and Rockcliffe. Despite what was said in the media the talks were primary regarding club sponsorship and hotel owners

I don't know whether you've noticed this or not but you have a tendency to recommend Danish people for various things.

Just getting it to the press, some questions and all having some pictures taking with big grins. Standard stuff.

The level of optimism has skyrocketed on this forum after today's announcement' s.

Feels like a rag tag team that's been put together (Danny Coyne is a really strange one for me). I'll be the first to say I didn't want Woody but as a Boro fan I hope it works out!

Got to say, waiting to release it all today was a masterstroke from the club.

You'll always get people moaning, though.

It's Friday morn and I like the way you move... Jonny Woodgate!

What Will said, the output has been handled entirely by the club and their closest press allies in the Gazette so far. This is a chance for any other interested parties to ask their questions, suspect Downie will be one asking a few questions. Hoping it's a decent challenge for them and not just congratulations and good luck.

I don't think many are optimistic for this season, we'll have the lowest amount of resources since we've been back in the division with a rookie manager at the helm. But we'll hopefully be moving to a more entertaining brand of football and leave behind the stench of the previous few seasons.

I was frustrated it was taking so long but now I will hold my hands up and say they've played a blinder with all this news today imo.

I hope someone asks him how he really felt about the football we were playing last season. Would be a great way to even the most cynical of us on his side.

I'm not sure of that Neverbefore. I don't think bad mouthing Pulis is useful at this point. He's already said what football he wants to play and that he recognises what the fans want to see, for me that's enough. The important part is implimentation and how we go about our business this season.

Do we reckon suit or tracksuit for match days?

I'll go tracksuit myself.

I prefer a suit, particularly on younger managers

It doesnt have to be bad mouthing though. A good response would be "I learnt a lot from Tony about xyz but we have a different footballing philosophy and I am looking forward to implementing it this season". Remember there are still people out there who dont trust woodgate as a manager purely because of his association to the previous regime. The more explicit distance we get between him and what came before the better.

Rio Ferdinand asking him the same question on Instagram ?.

Loads of ex-pros from all over congratulating him on there. He is clearly very liked by many.
