some new quotes from Gibson. Looks like They are going to take time over this.

This is worrying. I read the piece in the Echo and it all sounds bit bizarre.

"We grieved a little bit because we didn’t make the play-offs and we grieve because Tony has left, but we’ll be rejuvenated in a week," says Gibson.

Who grieved because Tony left? Nobody on OneBoro, that's for sure. This makes it sound that everyone wanted Pulis to stay.

And how does "We'll be rejuvenated in a week" square with "there isn’t a timescale. The most important thing is that we get it right."

So irrespective of this timescale, which suggests that we might still be without a manager this time next year, we can expect a new manager within a week?

That sounds to me like we wanted Pulis to stay but he decided to leave.

100% that's what hes saying. Very worrying.

It’s not what he’s saying. Him and Pulis were clearly good friends and on a personal level he’s sad about him leaving, in the next paragraph he says that both of them knew it was time for the club to look forwards:

“both of us were sad about the thought of not going forward, but we felt that was the right thing to do.”

Pulis’ contract was up for renewal next month but it was decided not to extend it and Gibson informed him of the decision over dinner on Wednesday night in London.

If it was pulis who had decided to leave why would Gibson have to inform him his contract was not been extended

Speaking to my source tonight and he thinks we could still go down the DOF route

Hopefully. Needed it for a while.

Bausor doesn’t have a clue

Surely that settles this contract rubbish ‘he signed an 18 month contract and we decided not to go forward’.

Contract was up, no rolling contracts, no pay offs.

Isn’t van den brom the alkmaar manager?

Yes, his win% is pretty decent wherever he has been according ti wiki, but I haven’t really heard of him.

Leaving them this summer after leading then into Europe again..

Do you know where he is going?

Will Pulis take credit for those changes as well?

Not really. You can sack someone and still be remorseful about it. And anyway, what would you expect him to say? "Thank God Pulis is gone, he was useless"? I don't think that's Gibson's style, really.

He clearly respected pulis and pulis probably took a lot of the stick that was actually down to Gibson on his own chin. He’s probably ‘greiving’ that it didn’t work out as they hoped.

Noticed gibson said. "We will wait to figure out who the new COACH should be". Might be nothing but could indicate hes thinking of moving away from the "manager" role.

    • Yes we have noticed buddy. 🤣🤣 You deserved a medal for last season you were the strongest in the league. Held everyone else up all season.   😁
    • Gestede lent them to Britt stating "as long as he gives me them back soon"
    • Well I'm pleased with the result. From all accounts we missed a fair few sitters again. So it's not just Britt. However, it sounds like we played a decent game. Charlton are a competent side. Granted they have issues with injuries at the moment. But then again so do we. So to come out on top is a big lift. I am well happy that the youngsters took their chance. This is exactly what we want. Hungry, work hard lads who are going to give their all for the duration of the game. Good result. certainly one we needed and the table looks more palatable now. Hopefully we can keep it going. Well done Boro. Keep battling and we will get out of this mess.
    • Another refreshing thing about today was that players showed the right emotions when they didn't convert chance....no cheesy grins...Walker actually thumped pitch in frustration when he realised he had delayed too long and Tav had head in hands.....but they both got on with it afterwards and made sure we kept possession when we needed to.....and fair play to Pears for being a virtual spectator for 75 minutes and still producing a couple of good saves.....and we are getting the points from the teams we need to be getting the points from......we might not have turned the corner, but the fog has cleared enough for it to be visible would settle for a point against Forest...but that would be a bonus....though Millwall showed that if you go at them with speed, they can be upset.....
