The Head Coach Thread.

Gua poyet a market mover for the Swansea job, moyes odds on for celtic (though rafa was last week) and cowley odds on for wba. I know it doesn't effect our appointment but thought it Interesting. Especially the moyes one. Is he now considered one of the old guard along with big Sam et al or does he still have potential to be a top manager?

Old guard I would say Tudders. Going to man utd destroyed him

Think I agree

This must be a first between us :)

Moyes is part of the destroy and exit crew, now. I'm sure he'll be up for an award at next year's meetup.

(Please say somebody listens to Athletico Mince)

seriously mate, it's done.  I think everyone gets your opinions on this...but The club/Gibson have made the decision they are entitled to make, time to move on. you can be angry at the club

FWIW -The Chinese discussions with Gibson were centered more towards Bulkhaul and Rockcliffe. Despite what was said in the media the talks were primary regarding club sponsorship and hotel owners

I don't know whether you've noticed this or not but you have a tendency to recommend Danish people for various things.

Looks like it’s Jokanovic’s to lose.

Think it’ll be his.

Hope so

UTB

That really would be about as good as we could have expected. We would certainly be giving ourselves a cracking chance and hopefully see some nice football.

Absolutely Blanco. I'm generally an agreeable kind of person. Just not when it comes to Pulis!

On the Jokanovic thing, I still think we missed a trick. If we had taken him as soon as he had become available I reckon we would have a game still to play this season.

Fair play to the club if they get him. Build a team around Randolph, Fry, Ayala, Tav, Britt, Howson and Wing. 2 new full backs, 2 wingers and a striker and we’re good enough for the top 2

The good thing with giving it to Jakanovic is that that's potentially green lighting a mass overhaul of the squads like he did at Fulham and Watford.

Exciting times ahead for sure. I think it could also see Assombalonga flourish in a set up of his.

This was also a good read for how Jakanovic system have worked before

If we do get Jokanovic and let him build a team. He has to have 2 full seasons at it at least.

But....

a) Can we afford it

b) Will the fans give him that time

Have to echo whats been said already - whoever gets the job will need time. The team will go under a transformation in both tactics and personnel. It might get worse before it gets better.
