mendieta420 1,006
Terry didn't sound like he was planning on leaving Villa in that interview.
"KM" 1,656
I don’t know about anyone else but I have a very strong feeling it’s between Jokanovic and Terry; I actually wouldn’t mind either of them!
Randy Sandwich 209
To everyone who is slating John Terry and his past let me just remind you that about 90% were extatic and expecting promotion whe we appointed TP who had previously blackmailed the Gillingham chairman, fraudulently took money from Palace and was sacked for playing appalling football. So I'll take a lot of opinions on here with a pinch of salt.

p_mards 1,365
The host after the Aston Villa and Derby County game mentioned whether John Terry would be a good option for us so maybe that has had an impact upon the betting odds just now.

In fact I'm fairly sure the people with moral objections against Terry are more or less the same people that had moral objections against pulis when he was appointed. Most people dont want Terry for the same reasons they dont want woodgate - no proven record at any level as a boss.

Neverbefore 10,940
And the people who want Terry are the same people who liken him to Lampard and Gerrard- neither of which who have accomplished anything of note this season.
White Band 831
If Gibson felt that Jokanovic was a stand-out candidate and Jokanovic wanted to come here, then I would have expected it to have been announced before the weekend. I suspect that Terry will go on to become a good manager at some point, but he may view an assistant manager job in the Prem as being a less risky (and therefore better) stepping stone than a head coach role at a mid-table Championship club with very expectant fans. I have a suspicion that we will end up having to make do with a manger lower down our list, just like we tend to do with player signings.

Why would John Terry apply and interview for a job he didn't want?

TheHolgate 683
If offered it John Terry would take it.
p_mards 1,365
Yeah I also think Terry would undoubtedly take it. After watching Lampard do a good job at Derby, Terry will surely be chomping at the bit wanting to prove himself as a manager. Gibson does have a penchant for giving managers their first job. I'd see a lot more sense in Terry being given the opportunity over Woodgate (thanks TAPOUT! ? ). Edited May 27, 2019 by p_mards
TAPOUT 361
Edit it again mards
