@Boro

We're delighted to announce that Rajiv van La Parra will become #Boro's first January signing ✍️

Presumably we also have to make the Saville move permanent?  Has anything been mentioned about that anywhere?

From what I understand of the deal his fee is to be paid in installments I would think it will be over 2 to 4 transfer windows given the nature of the fee

When RVLP joined Huddersfield in 2016 it was on a 3 year contract that expires summer of 2019 (in 6 months).  So "the nature of the fee" means what exactly ?

It can't be much over 1 Million , based on him being in the last knockings of his contract.

they're referring to Saville when they talk about the nature of the fee. VLP is a loan.

From MailOnline:

"Wigan will attempt to sign Tyler Blackett from Reading when the January transfer market opens.

Blackett is in demand having performed well during a difficult first half of the season for his club until his progress was halted by a red card at Millwall on Boxing Day.

Stoke and Middlesbrough have also declared an interest in the 24-year-old former Manchester United defender, who had loan spells at Blackpool, Birmingham and Celtic before joining the Royals in 2016.

Blackett can play as a centre half or left back and Wigan are thought to be preparing a bid of around £400,000 in the hope of taking advantage of the recent upheaval at the Madejski Stadium"

I think we were linked with him in the past. I would assume it would be him or Knudsen and not both. We do need cover or pressure on George at left back

Tony Pulis confirms Martin Braithwaite is in transfer talks

"Martin Braithwaite is set to join Leganes on loan for the remainder of the season. Tony Pulis confirmed that the Danish international is in Spain talking to the La Liga club about a move. It's the same club that tried to sign him in the summer loan window but Boro wouldn't agree to the deal"

Pulis quotes sound like a permanent move to me.
