Edit - why do you think he will go for full backs? The first thing he did is get rid of what full backs we had You're probably right that he isn't going to get a full back. Way too progressive for Pulis. It'll likely be another CD. We haven't got nearly enough central players in our squad. I'm just hoping that he will actually get a specialised full back. And I fully understand why he sold Christie. Attrocious defender and we made a profit. Was probably on a big wage too as a symptom of the wierd summer of 2017 spending. I didn't even read them - do you know how much we let Chapman go for? 500k + clauses apparently Well thats one big earner of the books - maybe he can reinvest in a young winger or something................ Watch Chapman be a hit under Mowbray One of the clauses will be a large sell on clause I imagine, so if he does come good we may be laughing. May even have a buy back clause? We're probably just ***ing around waiting for that supposed loan for Adama which isn't going to happen. I pray I'm wrong because we haven't got enough goals in this team to get promoted. We shouldn't be surprised if we target another CB as oppose to a real, actual, natural FB. I'm so bored of it all... Let's just hope the damage he causes isn't so great that it doesn't take another 3/4 years to recover like Strachan and Mowbray. What is a concern though is the age of our starting XI, which on the whole is just over 29 most games. We are going to need a big overhaul in the next 1 or 2 years whoever is in charge. So would it be for the best if there was no more incomings at all so that the incoming (please God), manager is not left with any more square pegs and may even have a few sheckles still left to spend. But I don't think, he will be able to play both Fry and Shotton as RB at the same time ... Which always makes one of them free for CB duty. RB can be covered by Shotton, Fry, Paddy Mac and youth, but none of them are ideal, but can do a job. LB on the other hand, can only be covered by Friend and Youth.. I am positive we will be signing a utility defender.. and we are working aaaard on that, since that gruesome injury to Mc'Quinn CB can be covered by Ayala, Shotton, Fry, Flint and youth .. plus Friend and Paddy Mac if really needed.
