Meanwhile we've spent hefty time in the past 24 hours on an obvious priority 'sorting' out Downing's contract situation with talks between Gibson and Downing leading nowhere on a compromise we shouldn't be seeking in the first place. Sheffield W got two Toon players on loan .. If I remember correct a LB and a winger .. I wonder who could use some back up at those positions... Hmm Backup??? After these next three games, we won't still be fifth either. Squad is too small, manager is far too negative. We'll finish eighth, Pulis will *** off into the sunset with all his cash, leaving some poor guy to pick up the pieces. Mowbray part 2. Might just jump out until Karanka part two. Below Average Which is what we are It’s all relative, compared to Hartlepool, we’re fantastic. The thing is you are correct, which is why failing to strengthen seems even dafter in some respects. If we were 12th or something then you could say fair enough and we'll wait until summer.
