I was under the impression that SG business partner has taken some of the money owed back and they are now also building a Rockcliffe style establishment on Jersey. A lot of money has been invested into that. As well as SG having custom house built currently just outside Boro.

Three bedroom semi-detached?

A little bigger I suggest.. the builder who is working on there has been told it’s a 18month job

Almost certainly means it should take only half of that but they will drag it out  :)

7 months of build time, 1 month of sharp intakes of breath, 1 month of looking for pencils that are behind their ear and 9 months of tea breaks!

Italian marble for the bathroom is costing a fortune.

The debt isn't really that much of a problem. At least not as long as Gibson isn't demanding it paid back or charging interest. What do the assests show? Don't MFC own the Riverside, Rockliffe HQ and Rockliffe Hall with the golf course and everything?

The original plan was indeed for Boro to own Rockliffe Hall. But currently a distinct entity under Gibson O’Neill.

Boro do have significant assets yes and most debt is to the group.

My main point was my surprise that being in the Premiership has had zero impact on debt or income other than TV revenue. We need a few seasons up there to become stable.

No No No, this can't be right - ask Chicken, Blanco and Barnaby - when I suggested that the money was loans and Gibson didn't pay out of his personal piggy bank I got personal abuse so it must be wrong.

It should read,  zero debt due to SG paying for everything and 60 mil owed which Stevie is paying for -  his lass will just have to go to Benidorm for a week this year, because thats how it works.

Don’t know about the other two but I’ve never mentioned money or funding

I called Chickenlunch out for saying Steve Gibson pays for everything out of his own pocket and you jumped in having a go at me, then Barnaby stuck his oar in - unless my aging memory is letting me down

EDIT - found your comment - The sad thing is that you probably believe your own BS

I was merely having a go at you at the time. It wouldn’t have mattered what you said :)

be careful what you say on here, it's all being monitored and logged by le miserables committee.

I don't recall ever really having a discussion about finances tbh. My general beef is just with pathetic supporters crying foul about bugger all.

Without delving back into the archives to find an off-the-cuff comment regarding whether or not I think Steve Gibson uses his own personal cash to support the club, I can't really comment tbh. My general opinion is that he effectively has a stock pile of cash that he splits between his various businesses.. I don't think he has his own personal hoard somewhere... but then I also don't know if this is in context with what you're referring to.

Also, if he wants to 'send his lass' to Benidorm for a week.. so be it! who are we to say he can't do what he wants with his own money? The way I see it we're fortunate he's put as much of it into the club as he has, cos I'm pretty sure he won't have made much of a profit on it. And contrary to the 'popular' opinion on here, we're not really in that bad a shape. It's also not our birthright to have the club run in a certain way, maybe it would be exciting for a bit to have Sheikh come in a buy a load of players for us, but realistically that probably isn't going to happen. I personally like our ownership situation, and that we have a finite budget to work within & anything we achieve is generally a hard-fought battle.

I don't usually get personal but you really are a knob aren't you?

One minute you're the greatest, most positive supporter that ever lived who always wants your team to win then you're "glad we lost"

you didn't make an "off the cuff remark" you made another one of your dumb posts where you cited how grateful we should be because Steve gibson is the one paying for everything out of his own pocket.

The Benidorm comment was meaning that instead of 5 star hotels in the Bahamas like most rich people she would have to go to Benidorm due to him buying players from the club out of their savings.

lastly - I used to get it in the neck  for being positive about AK and Monk but you weren't here then talking drivel so just because I finally can't back a manager doesn't mean I haven't when others gave up - its just how I feel at this moment and lets be honest - I'm hardly alone am I?

"Norwegian Morten (14) refused to Manchester City

... and now the Norwegian Football Association will look more closely at the talent that has both Norwegian and English passports.

Morten Spencer - who has both Norwegian and English passports - has made his mark in England as a special talent.

The 14-year-old has long been a part of the Sunderland youth academy, and last year he was a*** others taken out on the English G15 national team.

Recently, Spencer chose to terminate the contract with Sunderland. This made a number of lovers instantly sign up to sign the Norwegian talent.

In addition, the big club Manchester City has shown interest, according to the mother Heidi Lunde Spencer.

- Manchester City is one of the clubs that has shown interest. In the beginning, Morten would probably also get there, but that would mean that he had to move away from home to live and play there. Eventually, we have felt that City is such a large club with quite a few talents that are eventually sent out on loans. Therefore, we have looked at other alternatives, explains Lunde Spencer.

Probably the son - who turns 15 in March - ends up with Middlesbrough.

- There is so close that we can stay here we live now. In the long term, we believe this is the best solution for Morten's development, she explains.

His son Morten was born and raised in England and has both Norwegian and English citizenship.

That means he is eligible for the Norwegian national team - even though he has already played three U-matches for England.

It is only at official A-team games that players are locked into one country.

- I have been in dialogue with the Norwegian Football Association and they have told me that they want to look more closely at Morten, says Heidi Lunde Spencer.

The G15 national team has had a collection so far. Now Morten Spencer is up for a collection that will be in March. March 6, the squad is taken out.

- This is a player we would like to get acquainted with. I have been in contact with both mother and son, and now I want to see matches of him and further map him. It is definitely an exciting player, says national team coach Jan Peder Jalland to TV 2 Sporten.

Mommy Heidi Lunde Spencer is originally from Asker.

- Which national team do you hope to end up in the end?

- What shall I say? If he gets good enough for England, then of course it would have been stupid. But he is nevertheless extremely privileged who receives offers from both Norway and England. I'm so proud of him, says Heidi Lunde Spencer."

He's a Teessider and the Gazette did a piece on him last year.

Interesting. Good to hear that they have had some healthy considerations about his future and which step is the right on. Wonder why he left Sunderland. Surely the path to first team football is shorter there. Although it may help that we have been given debuts to youngsters like Wood. Having a renowned academy and top class facilities is obviously a big help.

If we don't go up, do you think we can keep Randolph? Think he will have plenty og suiters from the Prem, and we should be looking at at least 10 million. Turning 32 in May so is arguably in his best form and easily has another 3-4 years.

Randy is the best keeper in the league for me, quite easily in fact. Another one of Monks terrible buys ha.

However saying that, I don't think there is as much difference between keepers as there is outfield players, we got promotion with Dimi for gods sake. So if a ridiculous offer came in I wouldn't be furious if it meant we strengthend attacking areas. Randy would defo deserve another shot at the prem too.

I think you need a relatively strong keeper. At least if you're not scoring loads of goals. With the low amount of goals we are scoring Randolphs world class saves are so important. His two saves against Blackburn just last week. There's plenty of keepers out there though who won't cost a fortune meaning that we could finally spend some money on full backs and wingers :)
