Wait what, what the actual living *** was that whole thing then?! Wing wins the ball, breaks away, gets the free kick given for him for some reason, then what, gets booked for dissent?

Yeah sitting here thinking the same thing....Guess the Refs taken a liking to us.

Pulis can see what we can that Besic isn't great today, he comes off early for Howson.

I didn't want to quote it, but it's fairly obvious which one.

Somebody was having an unnecessary dig at Brunners, which is weird as there's all kinds of valid reasons to give him pelters  :)

Here for anyone that hasn't seen it

Looks like a dive to me

Actually look at the movement of the West Brom player before Hugill goes down, he jolts, as if there's been contact between the two.

You’re they type of retard who defends that cheating. He garbage and needs to cheat. Go back to west ham, donkey.

Thanks for the insult. I'm not defending anything, I haven't said one way or the other whether I think it was a foul, I'm merely saying that replay actually suggests there may have been some contact of some description.

Enough to make him go down? Probably not, watching it, but I'm just saying what I can see.

Thanks for clarification, still think you’re a retard though, sorry but that movement of the west brom player was 10 minutes before he dove.

Lol someones gonna get in trouble now.

For the record, when you're going full speed it can look like ages between contact and a fall. I think it is probably a dive, what I think has happened is they've collided arms or maybe a tiny heel clip in incidental contact and Hugill has just instinctively gone down.

I don't condone it, but I don't think he's dived completely sans contact.

    • Brilliant post, I said the exact same thing in the Bristol city thread yesterday. I would go for someone like Nigel Pearson as he's in the middle of experience ladder and we could have a plan with him for the 3/4 seasons. We don't have a identity and haven't for a long while. We play the same s**t hoof ball no matter who is in charge with these players so ideal opportunity to put foundations in place for the future. Pearson/Houghton someone of the calibre for me. Pearson contract ends in the summer and can't see Watford extending it regardless if they stay up or not.
    • How do people see the remaining games going? Boro - 47pts Reading - L Cardiff - L Sheff Wed - L Final - 47pts Hudds - 47pts Sheff Wed - L West Brom - L Millwall - D Final - 48pts Charlton - 46pts Birmingham - W Wigan - D Leeds - L Final - 50pts Stoke - 46pts Birmingham - W Bristol - D Brentford - L Forest - L Final - 50pts Hull - 45pts Wigan - L Luton - L Cardiff - L Final - 45pts Luton - 44pts QPR - W Hull - W Blackburn - W Final - 53pts Barnsley - 43pts Leeds - D Forest - L Brentford - L Final - 44pts Relegated on the final day due to Wigans far better GD and Millwall being on the beach.
    • Our new manager appointment this summer could be the biggest Gibson has had to make, were still counting the cost of having Pulis and his kick and run players and if we sign Warnock it will nock us back even further. The problem with Pulis and Warnock is that there old school with tactics and playing style, and in 12 months if Warnock leaves we will back back in this exact position, there is just no sense or positive reason to give Warnock the job. Its time now for the clear out, to get in a manager with experience who has a clear vision and playing style that everybody can get on board with. I'm not saying get Karanka back but he's the best example I can give of what I'm trying to say, love him or hate him he came here with a vision and clear idea if how he wanted to play and set up and it worked perfectly, Gibson needs to look at that appointment and use it in getting our next manager
    • Haha tbf his stats compared to the last few referees we have had is interesting, he is defiantly not shy about pulling red card and giving plenty out looking at it. I certainly hope Warnock speaks to the squad about this after that Hull game, cant risk the opposition playing the referee so much better than we do.  The way Warnock plays which is get it out wide, then get balls into the box seems to suits playing away from home probably due to the fact the home team feels obliged to attack and we counter. Having said that Reading are in good form, its either that they are going to be relaxed as playoffs is unrealistic or be on holiday thinking theres no crowd to shout at us and no playoffs so may as cruise for rest of the season. I think we should go with this  -  ................................Pears/that other guy..................................... diijsteel.......................Fry....Shotton..................................Friend Roberts.........................Howson....Mcnair..........................................Coulson  ...................................................Tav..................................................................... .....................................Fletcher...................................................................... I dont think particularly Spence done anything wrong, I just think his looks a bit knackered so could use a break. I think give Tav or Roberts a free floating role behind Fletcher (his job to literally supply Fletcher and help him out) and drop Britt as he offers nothing when not scoring which is not good enough at this point.
    • Interesting if true. Valdes was clearly a ***. Its not hard to see that. But when you say "karanka took his side" this could mean anything. I mean let's face it, leadbitter wasnt good enough for the prem - he was consistently out of his depth and his legs had started going and hed started to pick up injuries. It may well have been that karanka just agreed with Valdes that he wasnt good enough and that's where the split came?
