Is this the most dislikable boro team ever? Just totally devoid of anything you would enjoy about football.

I'd say the Strachan team was worse. At least this one has fry, Randolph, friend, fletcher, wing, tav and a few others who are likeable. I cant remember any Strachan players who I really liked, with the exception of Robson.

He's right you know. Especially if "at the moment" means "since pulis took over"

Decided to watch today cause somehow I can't find anything better to do.

Hugill is a waste of space.

We spent the first few minutes playing high press without actually accomplishing anything, and have basically sat 10 behind the ball since then.

just took a short corner that bobbled its way to Saville who could only loft one right into the keepers arms :)

Quality corner routine. Bravo

I thought something stupid was going to happen when I saw it was being taken by renowned dead ball specialist Adam Clayton.

Swansea have hit the bar when it was easier to score.

Stewart Downing. In the team for his amazing ball retention. Passes them straight through.

Looking at the match stats we are getting destroyed, that the case?

Sounds that way from soccer Saturday. Their 10 second update is all I can stomach these days.

    • Ah yes, forgot about Browne, he’s looked very technically sound when I’ve seen him and has a lovely touch. Still think there is a good player in there somewhere, just been so unfortunate with his injuries.
    • Barnsley beating Stoke, they're now 7th and 1 point off Bournemouth. Also 3 points behind Reading with a game in hand on them. I think they're top 3 in form since their manager took over.
    • Come on Cardiff don't lose please
    • Thats more or less how I remember it. Southgate, although being a rookie and his inexperience being at least partly to blame, was also something of a sacrificial lamb. The fall guy for the club's financial restructuring.  I think he was given a rather thankless task (like a couple of more recent ones), but I still believe he was showing promise as a Championship level manager. Anyway...LOTS of water under the bridge since then...
    • I look at what Ian Evatt did at Barrow and how he got some very limited players playing some incredible technical football, and wonder if it is more a mental attitude of the players being asked to play that way alongside the tactical setup and coaching. Or whether you have to be down right talented to play that way, personally I think it is a mix of both. I think looking at our contracted players, I'd say the vast majority of them can play that way, then you get into the realms of looking at the loanees that will need replacing this summer.
