This might not be view shared by my fellow boro fans but i liked Howson at RB. He got up and down that flank very wel, his delivery was better than Shottons from there. He scored and got assists from that position. And i think he said he enjoyed playing there and will getter better more he plays there. Foogle 2,104 Posted July 15, 2019 Share Posted July 15, 2019 (edited) Makes sense from Fry's perspective, 21 year old staying at his hometown club where he's likely to get significant game time to develop in front of a crowd that loves him. He can spend a couple more seasons as a starter trying to help us get up and he'd still only be 23 and probably a much better defender than if he left and barely got game time. 2 Link to post Share on other sites

The only thing that worries me is a defence that includes Howson/Flint/Shotton and probably one of the youngsters will get us nowhere near the playoffs. We'll be conceding goals by the bucket load.
