but he hasn't be that great, not for 15 mill anyway. 15 in 44 and 14 in 42 for an out and out goal scorer isn't anything special and when you consider he cost 15 mil.

31 goals in 93 games 1 in 3 return at championship level for 15 mil. duno im happy for him to stay but also happy to get our money back if possible.

a striker that consistently gets you 15 goals a season is, imo, invaluable. And not to mention that's 30 goals in a season and a half of Pulis football and half a season of whatever Monk was doing.

SDS, it’s Dijksteel at Rockliffe

For all those asking about these 4 players at rockcliffe just before weekend. I have done some digging appears it was bola Browne and 2 premiership loan players, sketchy with details but I believe the

Shotton on way and Britt could be going... bids for Fry so far rejected

Surely now a PL CB loan coming in to replace Shotton, can’t keep it how it is. Ben Gibson most likely. Can fully see Palace paying top dollar for Britt

MIDDLESBROUGH

Some breaking news from Middlesbrough - Wigan Athletic are in talks to sign Ryan Shotton.

The deal isn't done yet, but there's a definite chance something could happen if a fee can be agreed.

Shotton joined Middlesbrough in a £3m deal three years ago, and is about to head into the final 12 months of his current contract.

He's one of the club's higher earners, and it's understood that he will be allowed to leave if the financial terms of a package can be agreed with Wigan.

Shotton started last week's season-opener at Luton at centre-half - so would his departure leave Boro short of numbers at the back?

Possibly, although Dael Fry is on the verge of coming back from injury and Jonathan Woodgate has strongly hinted that he sees George Friend as a centre-half as well as a full-back this season.

☝️Looks like the long rumoured 30k a week Shotton might actually be on that.

I agree in parts but what are we going to do with 15 million on transfer deadline day given what the ‘ITK’ people have mentioned previously?

We’ve seen a centre half who has had 1 good year sold for 22 million and Maupay who had a very good season for a similar fee but there is nobody better in the championship that we could get for the money we would recoup for Britt imo.

I think he'd scored 11 goals in half a season under Monk too.
