For all those asking about these 4 players at rockcliffe just before weekend. I have done some digging appears it was bola Browne and 2 premiership loan players, sketchy with details but I believe the

Oh grow up, what absolute rubbish. He will be absolutely fine as a back up CB

It’s really not, people were laughing at him last year, I almost felt bad for him. His legs have been gone since the prem, and he’s getting worse and worse, how can’t you see it ?

Centre backs: Ayala (gets injured every season), Fry (has had injury problems recently), Friend (hasn't played centre back since 2012), Wood (extremely inexperienced), McNair (solid but Woodgate has said he sees him as a centre mid), Dijksteel (can apparently play centre back but obviously is our first choice right back).

I'm not trying to say Shotton's good in our new system at centre back, he's clearly not suited to it. But doesn't change the fact that if we sold him without a replacement we are even thinner on the ground at centre back. He could also be cover at right back if needs be.

When the inevitable happens and Ayala gets injured, Friend doesn't cut it CB and Wood isn't ready yet, do you think we'd take any of these?

Well, think we must have reached the end of Woody’s list by now, I’d rather we didn’t go for 4th or 5th choices especially as funds seem limited.

Yeah, not looking good at this point...

George Friend was clearly struggling to get back to form last season, and sadly I don’t think it’s a battle he will win, good pro, but I think a return to south west for him maybe as a player coach.
