We really don't, no club is perfect. Very few managerial choices work out in football hence the big turn over of managers generally and yet for a club with a relatively small fanbase we have stayed within the top 2 leagues consistently.

In a time where bigger clubs like Leeds, Sheff Wed etc have struggled we have still had success and promotions. We are in a better position than most, loads of teams would love our chairman and our record

Are you Steve Gibson?

I think somebody mentioned Sam Byram as a possible option at right back a week or so back. He has just signed for Norwich on a 4 year deal.

Seeing that he has gone to Norwich, then it isn't such a disappointment that we couldn't compete to sign him. We wouldn't be able to offer the same sort of wages Norwich can due to their premier league status.

It doesn't matter anymore we've already got our new right back. Jonny Howson.

Sam Byram for £750k.

I know we were never linked, and he’s gone to a premier league team, but it just shows how cheap you can get a good full back for. As we are so severely lacking in this department, we really can’t justify not strengthening in this area, and I’ll be really disappointed if we’re starting the season with Friend and Shotton at fullback.

Stuart Webber at Norwich is continuing to do a fantastic job as their Technical Director by getting Sam Byram for £750,000.

What is our identity?

I'm mild mannered reporter Clark Kent ?

I did wonder about this though.  What is Boro's identity exactly because I'm not sure we have one?

Almost the entire history of the club has been spent in the top two leagues so why would things be any different under Gibson?  Our relatively small fanbase is comfortably in the top 44 clubs in England so again why is it an achievement to be where we should be?  Just because Leeds mega messed up doesn't mean it's an amazing thing that we only partially messed up.

If it was anyone else KM, I would think your last sentence was sarcastic. However I entirely believe that you see Ronan Keating as a musical genius.

CT did you post that you read the club account when they were published?  If you did Does it say how much the directors take out of the club?

    • All depend with what Boro turns up   or
    • Well that's the risk of having single owners. They can do what they want. Reading that I have plenty of sympathy for the fans but they are paying the price of selling to shabby owners who is only in it for the money and will do what they see fit. It doesn't sound like force majeure because of Covid-19 but rather that the are owned by people who genuinely don't care and probably have a plan that will in some way make them a lot of money and leave Wigan in the mire. Tough on the fans as they don't get a say in who owns the club. Looks like the EFL have failed with their fit and proper test, but it's the owner that has chosen to put the club under administration, and if the finances are OK I can't see how they will be succesful with their appeal due to the virus. The owner can do what he wants and he has placed them in administration hence I can't see how they will escape the 12 points deduction.
    • I will keep saying it; if we don't win tonight we deserve to be relegated. Hull are really really bad.
    • It's the NOT knowing what to expect this afternoon from Boro that is fascinating to a degree. Really am looking forward to watching the game unfold. Get the first goal and I believe we could see a really good performance. Mentioned beforeI wonder what kind of game Marvin will have, will he make this a personal crusade?
