Yeah apparently he knacked his arm as he was on his mobile too much trying to get his agent to get him a move.

Another day closer to the start of the new season and still not a single outfield signing if you discount the young players who have been brought in. Someone reassure me that it's going to get better?

Its pointless trying to reassure you. You’re just going to find new ways to be unhappy about the club?

It's reverse psychology.

Personally I’m happy to see what the youngsters can do, rather than spend money on players that the recruitment dept. rate..... that never goes well!

Hopefully we can shift a couple of plodders and enjoy a different type of football. It will be better than last season, I can reassure you.

@Smoggydownsouth I remember you mentioning awhile ago about 2 young lads, one south American and another from Europe coming in. Did anything ever come of that?

I will only use them when a dislike button is added.  But I really do believe in replying to a person's post to show my appreciation of it.  So here you go ???

Someone said they spoke to him in the car park of Hartlepool.. reckons he's out 2-3 weeks, might mean Tommy is in goal at Luton.

Wigan paying 3.6mil for Hugill.. That's a grotesque figure for him

We paid over half that for just one season... our deal was worse than theirs

So if the rumours were correct about West Ham saying they'd sell him to us for whatever it was then they were just trying to have our eyes out again as they did with Fletcher?  The swines!

    • Extraordinary decision to condemn them to a 12-point penalty without good reason. I assumed they were in a Bolton/Bury-style situation and administration was a last desperate roll of the dice, but I can't see from what @Hendrie_7 has posted how the benefits of this move will outweigh the penalties. Sadly, there's absolutely no chance of jail terms. If Steve Dale is still a free man, some dodgy Oriental investor hiding their funds in the Cayman Islands isn't going to be held accountable.
    • All depend with what Boro turns up   or
    • Well that's the risk of having single owners. They can do what they want. Reading that I have plenty of sympathy for the fans but they are paying the price of selling to shabby owners who is only in it for the money and will do what they see fit. It doesn't sound like force majeure because of Covid-19 but rather that the are owned by people who genuinely don't care and probably have a plan that will in some way make them a lot of money and leave Wigan in the mire. Tough on the fans as they don't get a say in who owns the club. Looks like the EFL have failed with their fit and proper test, but it's the owner that has chosen to put the club under administration, and if the finances are OK I can't see how they will be succesful with their appeal due to the virus. The owner can do what he wants and he has placed them in administration hence I can't see how they will escape the 12 points deduction.
    • I will keep saying it; if we don't win tonight we deserve to be relegated. Hull are really really bad.
    • It's the NOT knowing what to expect this afternoon from Boro that is fascinating to a degree. Really am looking forward to watching the game unfold. Get the first goal and I believe we could see a really good performance. Mentioned beforeI wonder what kind of game Marvin will have, will he make this a personal crusade?
