If Wing is out, Tav in the centre for me

Dijksteel is still on, club was annoyed that he played as thought the deal with Charlton was agreed.

Hutton to come in if Dijksteel falls through.

Still worried that Fry will go. He wants to stay but might not be up to him. Lets just hope Tarkowski doesn't leave.

Can't see any chance of Gibson coming back here.

Think we'd leave ourselves with a lot of work to do if Fry went. We'd need a first choice cb, at least 1 winger and a RB with not much time left.

Wonder how much we would get with Webster going for 22m? Fry is at least as good now for me, and a few years younger with a much higher ceiling.

Not a chance we let Fry go without replacing with someone of equal quality or at least very close. The defence is already a shambles as it is!

I’d probably accept 20 million for fry if we can get Gibson back on loan. If not 25 million a least

For me I think even if Fry stays we still need another CB as cover. I think it's a huge gamble to rely on Wood/Stubbs over a full season. I also think it needs to be silly money for Fry now as it's going to be difficult to not only replace him but with somebody of a decent standard. We also have very little time to replace him.

I know Woodgate said that he is our most valuable player at the moment as well although I dont think that will have much influence in our decision with him.

I wouldn’t accept anything less than what Brighton have paid for Webster. Fry has also been in the England set-up and is younger so that should add a few extra million.

I would say 25 million at least with a sell on clause.

It’s late in the window, they will have a lot of money from the Tarkowski sale and NEED someone in. If we were to sell this is where the transfer team needs to be stubborn and get the absolute best price for him. Tell them no less than £30m and wait until they are forced to go for it like all other clubs seem to do

I think we had our data analyst at the Charlton game yesterday too.

I would rather us cash in on Randolph and Britt before Fry in the situation we find ourselves in. I also think Fry is a lot better than Burnley.

Thanks Lurker was unsure if the club would walk away as I was told on Friday it was all agreed.

To sell Fry it would have to be for a lot of money and most if not all of this money would have to be going on two first team ready CBs, a top quality winger and potentially another winger

It's interesting as (if accurate, and I have no reason to think otherwise) Ireland should be looking at about 15000 cases today but we are currently just shy of 3000 cases. Looks like we are flattening the curve here before we've hit critical saturation of the hospitals.

    • A quick addition to this interesting question, probably for the older supporters in part 1, but everyone who has travelled to support in part 2. part 1 when answering the original question I found that our time at the Riverside has been filled with great goals but when thinking about it I found that the goals that made me most exhilarated and hyper in my celebrations nearly all came at Ayresome Park, now I’m old enough to have been an active supporter over the 2 grounds but I do believe the sheer joy and communal togetherness of a Boro goal at Ayresome beats that at the Riverside. part 2 I also chose a goal scored away from home too, and I was wondering if anyone felt that goals scored at home or away brought out different feelings of joy and excitement. For me, I’ve been on many a thankless away trip but there is something genuinely special when you score away from home, whether it be a Bernie Tap in or a Karambeu missile like he did at Valley Parade, there all special but an away goal is like a good pint that comes with a chaser imo. You can never count on them but when they come everyone of them is welcome.
