id sooner keep fletcher than swap him for toney,to be honest id sooner keep gestede than toney?????

Noticed you’ve commented a couple of times about how much you don’t rate Toney... is there a reason why? From what I’ve seen of him, I think he’s make a very decent back up to Britt.

just personal opinion, seen him a few times and been unimpressed,i dont think we are in for him anyway to be honest, time will tell i suppose

Seriously?

Toney did get 16 goals and 7 assists and would accept less wage's than Fletcher. The trouble is if a striker is required to leave for a new one to come in I think out of Fletcher or Gestede Fletcher will be the only one that would have clubs interested.

Bristol City need Dijksteel even more so after this shambolic performance.

Their manager has played down the link, it’s almost definitely just Charlton playing dirty tricks to try and make us panic

I dunno about this source but here it is anyway

Surely if  was agreed on Saturday morning he wouldn’t have played Saturday 3pm...... unless they mean Sunday morning?!

i think it was SDS who other day said he heard we were looking at Kent as a possible £4m deal plus add ons which would meet liverpools reported £7m asking fee.

It's exactly the same thing Lurker said. The club thought we had a deal so were angry that he played.

    • I disagree. Replacing Britt is not the hard part imo. Getting a good fee for him under the current circumstances with 1yr left on his deal is the hard part. Ultimately we need to find a striker who gets between 12-15 goals a season as that is what we would lose with Britt.    One of the ITK members on here said we are looking at Lyle Taylor who out of contract at end of season. He has 11 goals to his name and has missed a decent chunk of season. Other players include Nakhi Wells who cost Bristol £5m (same fee as we are maybe looking at for Britt) and has 15 goals. Hugill on loan at QPR has 11 goals Woodrow at Barnsely has 14 goals Out of contract Fletcher at Sheff Wed has 13 goals. I am not suggesting we should look at any of them but they have all offered better value for money than britt so getting more bang for your buck than we have from Britt is not hard. Might be for us due to our past incompetent scouting department but some other clubs managed it. Maybe we can this summer...
    • Played as a striker he was a immense. A proper poacher and could shoot from distance too.

    • and replace him with who? Ivan Toney at a higher price who is unproven in the championship? We can all see that Brit is not perfect but replacing him is much harder, especially when good strikers are the most saught after commodity for teams in any division
