Sorry, do you want it in writing?

No, I would like some concrete evidence.

so what strikers could we realistically get to replace Assombalonga in 2 days......... Rhodes, Whells, Barnes, Wood, Shane Long, Ineacho (Loan), Solanke (Loan), Kodija..............

Frey and Lyle Taylor are the two that have been touted. I'm very on the fence about this, I wouldn't want to sell but can see why the club would want to, we wouldn't get 15m for him again with only a year left on his contract after this season.

Smoggydownsouth is the source, that should be evidence enough:)

At the end of the day like @Smoggydownsouth has said, we can’t influence transfers from here. If the club feel selling Britt is the best thing to do then so be it. Unless they’re to get a proven championship goalscorer in or someone who the fans feel is a ‘capable’ replacement then it’ll be regarded as a bad move.

For me, despite him not suiting how we played last season (but then who did), he’s still the best equipped player I can think of to grab us 15/20 goals this season. I know we’ve only played one competitive game but he looked stronger and physically fitter than last year.

Lyle Taylor - yeah he’s a good player, never played at championship level and soon to be turning 30. Are the club going to go in for talks with him when Charlton have already messed us around enough with Dijksteel? Who knows.

Interesting couple of days ahead...

If Fry goes, is there any chance we can persuade the Belgian fella? Or was it just the fact he didn't want to come to England?

Wonder if George Puscas is on our radar if Britt were to go? Been heavily linked to Birmingham and Reading.

Not seen him play myself but wasn't he getting raved about in a u21 game?

Just got to take any ITK information with a pinch of salt. Nothing to get worked up about until it actually happens, but something to discuss in the mean time.

It’ll be all bar SG, Bevington, Woody and Bauser I suspect - Possibly Paul Dews would get to keep his too, but the rest I can see not being permitted to have them.

Thats Training Ground - not hotel

I know im not seen as one of the itk etc on here

I have just been told from a close friend that fry is off and there has been no bid for britt. He is staying, the reason he was not there yesterday is a family issue.

    • I thought that was odd, too. 2.00pm? A conference before Forest that soon? Wishing it's his resignation but won't be. 😒
    • I agree it was much, much better but we were still so far behind Leeds it was an indication of how far we have fallen. The team would still need to improve in all games until the season end to get the points tally to survive and I don’t see that happening. Facts are facts, 2 shots on target in 3 games, 8 wins and the lowest amount of goals in the league. Facts! Boro were better in this game than they have been most of the season and still could not flow or string passes. They huffed and puffed, and they ran about but there was no shape or form.  i don’t take any heart from the game because it was obvious Leeds were not having a good day but still ran us ragged, still found gaps and cantered to a win.  Don’t expect the same from Forrest, oh no, they are coming for all 3 points and the slaughter could be embarrassing.    With 11 games to go its to late to bring anyone in simply the team won’t adjust in the time left. Players know they have just 11 games left before packing up and moving on. Most will be booking holidays and removal vans.  The only question SG has, do I support Woody hoping we survive and save face, drop him put the coach in charge and hope.
    • Woodgate press conference at 2pm today? Is this usual the day after a match?  Either doubling down, we’re told he’s here to stay and he gives us some platitudes about heart, commitment, fighting for the shirt. Or he resigns with a heavy heart?
    • I have a feeling Woody will resign today
    • Well I can give you my opinion in one word after watching that trash last night and that is "Dire". I am still baffled after a season coaching these "So called strikers" that Robbie Keane still as not found a combination or system to get them playing together. We could honestly have had 6 forwards out there last night and played a 3-1-6 and still those 6 would have been running around like headless chickens without any idea of how to put the ball in the net. No matter how many pass's were going into that last 3rd area Boro were never going to score a goal this side of Good Friday. "DIRE."
