I think Frey looks good with link up play, it just doesn’t look like he gets many goals and i’m Not sure other players will score enough

Trust me Jake,Frey will get goals.....Assuming we get him

but a whole lot to do with pulis. britt for the majority was the only player in positions to score on a regular basis anyway.  saying he did well to score so many goals in a pulis team is also a pointless argument. in an attacking side the goals would be shared about more. not necessarily equaling more for britt.

he should have had a hat-trick on Friday night. but he missed a penna and a absolute sitter. he cost us 2 points. i'll be glad to see the back of him personally.

Yet another person saying he should be a 1 shot to 1 goal striker, its a fantasy - every striker misses, it was the first game of the season and you are expecting what - perfection from every player?

back to the britt bashing now he's leaving. he was lucky to score at all but should have scored 3. hes a spud. crystal palace fans will be absolutely gutted when they see how bad he is first hand.

TBF I think the one positive we can say about our signings so far is that if they don't make it, at least we've not spunked tons of money bringing them in. And we won't be spending a whole lot more on wages either. They're the right kind of signings who could indeed be just as useless to us over time.

Yeah true, its certainly a more sensible approach which we've all being crying out for.

no i expect a striker to hit the target with a free shot from the penalty spot, i also expect a so called poacher to actually score from a one on one 6 yards out.

What's this other chance that Britt apparently missed? Genuinely don't remember it

The keeper made a good tackle on him when fletcher sent him through with the back heel.

If you look at their career stats, Britt scores or assists every 164 minutes in the Championship, for Frey if you just use his stats from the Europa League, Champions League and his time in France and Turkey scores or assists every 180 minutes. Obviously this figure improves even further if you include his time in the Swiss leagues. Think he'd be a good signing myself.

lets wait until he leaves, if he leaves before we start destroying him, because it worked well for Pulis to knock the lad.

The top players in the world have skied a penalty or missed completely. Messi missed 4 yard headers in open goals before. Britt is one of best strikers in the league. He scores goals and thats exactly what hes there for

Bit of a bombshell here but even the best strikers miss chances

The one where Britt was travelling diagonally across the box away from goal?

    • I don't even blame the majority of the people getting on the trains because most of them will be key workers. However, if we can't manage the situation better then the tube would be better off just being closed, doctors and nurses could be put up in hotels close to their place of work or taxis should be laid on.  A packed tube will be like an incubator for the virus and the situation surely can't carry on like this. Another point is that apparently the construction sites are still supposed to be working as normal in London which will also add to the passenger numbers on public transport. Why aren't the government clamping down on the construction industry?  I'm glad to have lived in a society where we have a lot of freedom but in the current situation I think the government needs to exert more control especially in London.
    • I mean, it was a stupid ass decision to reduce the number of services in the hope it would reduce the number of people per tube. Khan is saying drivers are self-isolating or are ill themselves. Obviously the latter is unavoidable but given the scale of the tube usage, surely tube drivers should be considered key workers too? How many of them will be in self-enforced isolation who could feasibly be working? Though I'm willing to bet it's not just key workers who are using them and perhaps an alternative is to start ensuring valid reasons for travel instead of just letting anyone use them. There's potential problems with all of the solutions but the main problem as ever is the people who use them. I lived there, anyone else who has or does and has dealt with the Central Line for a short period of time, never mind the 3 years I did, will know it feels like 90% of the people going to work in the capital every day felt they were more important and more significant to the world than the people around them, the very peak of the capitalist society we live in where some people would step on their dead grandmother for an extra few bob. It gets in your bones too, it's almost beyond your control to be the same as them because you know as soon as you hold open a metaphorical door for the more vulnerable, those who are perfectly fine will capitalise on your good gesture and will never give you credit for your good deed. This virus has levelled the playing field significantly in that we are reminded about how individually, we are all important and all our individual decisions can impact so many other people. The maths is simple. If you can feasibly do so, staying at home is going to be hugely positive in delaying the spread of this virus. It's important that those of us who can, do so, in order to allow those who can't to be less at risk.
    • It's sounding most likely that the season will be completed in June/July behind closed doors.
    • We would even settle for you up front Alan with Teddy as your support striker 😂
