Summer Transfer Window 2019/20 Season

Recommended Posts

That is a relief, it would be suicide to get rid of our better, more experienced players. We need to maintain a balance of youth and experience otherwise we could be in for a long old season imho!

yes in Britt and Fry and Saville now also

So you're pretty sure we won't sell either?

Yeah - sort of my point? A sarcastic swipe at people who don't think he's as good as Firmino perhaps - or do you genuinely think I was serious and that was the shot he missed?

He didn't compare him to Firmino though did he ? He said he would like a striker in the Firmino role who scores less individually but helps the team score more.

Also, how anybody can defend a professional footballer missing the target from 12 yards out is laughable, obviously the best in the world also miss pens, but that doesn't make it any less woeful when it does happen.

Just a little observation.  Have a read back over the past few pages before putting some comments on, lots of people commenting on Britt actually leaving and shirts and other stuff.  It's all getting a mental on here.  Not having a dig fellow fans, it's just making me eyes bleed a bit. peace X x

Wonder who would be interested in Sav?

QPR most likely. Warburton is a big fan.

if we are in the position of having to sell to buy, saville is probably first out the door(after gestede). its a no brainer really.

britt as much as he is flawed and very frustrating, still offers a lot.

fry has massive potential keep him as long as possible to get a higher fee.

if we are after a different striker to fit the new system, we sell one first right? if nobody wants gestede(lol) i think i'd rather keep fletcher over britt simply because we are also short of wingers. its a big risk selling ur top striker though. better be sure of the replacement.

I would love us to ship Saville to qpr and find a way of getting Eze back in return.

    • If this is live on TV I may be able to watch it on my flight home. At least the fact that I am traveling home will offset the disappointment of a damn good thrashing. 😀
    • I echo most views on here. Expect to loose this one though would be happy enough with a draw.  Just hope we put up a fight and the youngsters shine again. Forrest have the 2nd meanest defense in the league at home so I can't see us scoring. But here's hoping. Head - 2-0 to Forrest. Heart - 1 - 0 to Boro. Walker (if selected) to get off the mark as he is too young to know the city ground jinx effect.
    • We had some impressive results and performances in that PL season against Top 10 teams with a net spend of 17m (De Roon making up the majority of this net with a 13m fee). The whole club were not invested in the project and a few individuals in the background were working against AK. Imagine the difference if we were able to add to the squad with some of the names linked below in 2016/17: Lukas Rupp (signed for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim) Aissa Mandi (signed for Real Betis)  Dennis Praet (signed for Sampdoria) James Morrison (signed a contract extension at West Brom) Michail Antonio (signed a contract extension with West Ham) Clément Grenier  Clement Chantome (signed for Stade Rennais) Hakim Ziyech Domagoj Vida  Tim Krul Khouma Babacar Thomas Meunier (signed for PSG) Neven Subotic (deal fell through after failed medical) Harry Maguire Enzo Fernández Gerard Deulofeu Fernando Llorente (signed for Swansea)  Tomas Kalas (signed for Fulham)  Laurent Depoitre Jefferson Montero Alvaro Arbeloa (signed for West Ham)  Denis Cheryshev Rachid Ghezzal Filip Djordjevic Kenneth Vermeer Jon Walters Cheick Tiote Henri Bedimo Rachid Ghezzal Gökhan Gönül Keiren Westwood Pepe Reina Martin Skrtel (signed for Fenerbahçe)  Cameron Jerome Sergi Samper Ryan Bennett Cristi Săpunaru Mike van der Hoorn (signed for Swansea) Blerim Džemaili Lee Cattermole Matt Philips (signed for West Brom) Chris Gunter Ramadel Falcao Matz Sels (signed for Newcastle) Vincent Aboubakar Martin Caceres Nicolai Jorgensen Santiago Arias Tomáš Necid Jeff Hendrick (signed for Burnley) Robin Van Persie Demarai Grey Filip Helander Yakou Meite (signed for Reading) Andre Ayew Wesley Hoedt
    • Usually 15% of capacity unless the police decide otherwise. So should be around 5200 - dependent on the layout of the stadium.  Our official (dry) coaches are departing at 5.20am!
