Why do we need another striker? I really don’t understand why people think we will be bringing another one in. Surely we don’t need 4?

Also I do hope the club are looking in to our partnership with 32red following the Derby stuff.  Not very cool at all.

Well if you are playing Assombalonga and Fletcher to start a match, that only leaves Gestede on the bench. Not much of an option!

I think it’s because the rumours are we are cancelling Gestede’s contract, so need to replace him,

The Brixit Saga means that we might need to replace our first choice striker, and our back ups are not universally praised for their striking abilities.

The striker is the least important of the positions but we are still looking.

I think the 32 Red multiple sponsorship deals and preferred client views is an issue for the EFL rather than Boro.

Not that boro shouldn’t wonder why their main shirt sponsor is also main sponsor of our rivals, but we were not the first to take the gold of 32Red so I can assume boro happy just to get the most gold for shirt rights.

I thought walker might get a chance. Fletcher might not start either if we get a couple of wingers in

I have a QPR supporting mate who says they're shifting high earners who don't want to be there anymore. Not sure if its specifically opening a space or just clearing wages in general.

32Red apparently paying half of his wages. He's wearing the number 32. They announced it on their Twitter as if he'd also signed for them. Ugly side of modern football infiltrating the Championship too!

32red are paying half of Rooney's wage at derby. He is wearing number 32 while there.

If it’s ok by the EFL then we got to get on with it, but I think all the other clubs with that sponsor may now have something to think about.

non of them will be contractually able to remove them from the shirts without a financial penalty but think both 32 and Derby will now be stuck with each other as it will only be a certain type of club hierarchy that will deal with them again.

or will clubs now think that’s a good business plan, why don’t we try it...

    • I think (and it's been said a million times) that it's beyond the manager.  Meaning it's the club and what it wants to achieve long term.  I'd take farting around the championship if we had a vision.
    • I'd rather have Pulis back and Britt given a 10 year contract on £100K a week!
    • They both contribute or contributed little to nothing, like I said I am not remotely interested in what they may or may not have done in their careers before they joined us. From what I have seen to date NML isn't offering anything special or indeed better than what we already had.  Excuses are exactly that and NML's lack of playing time is now a Boro problem in the same way that Morrison's lack of playing time was. Their individual circumstances/excuses prior to coming to Boro are different but that isn't my argument or of any interest to me come to that. I'm only interested in what I see and both of them look or looked off the pace and not ready for competitive Championship football. NML may come good and there is probably more chance of that with him than there ever was with Morrison but I would rather not see him involved unless he is selected on merit.
    • I think, unfortunately, that our defensive and midfield players are mostly brain dead. Unless they've been threatened with castration by Warnock, why else would they persist in lumping the ball forward at every opportunity when it was patently obvious that we were hardly ever going to win aerial battles against their defence?
