We really don't, no club is perfect. Very few managerial choices work out in football hence the big turn over of managers generally and yet for a club with a relatively small fanbase we have stayed within the top 2 leagues consistently.

In a time where bigger clubs like Leeds, Sheff Wed etc have struggled we have still had success and promotions. We are in a better position than most, loads of teams would love our chairman and our record

Are you Steve Gibson?

I think somebody mentioned Sam Byram as a possible option at right back a week or so back. He has just signed for Norwich on a 4 year deal.

Seeing that he has gone to Norwich, then it isn't such a disappointment that we couldn't compete to sign him. We wouldn't be able to offer the same sort of wages Norwich can due to their premier league status.

Sam Byram for £750k.

I know we were never linked, and he’s gone to a premier league team, but it just shows how cheap you can get a good full back for. As we are so severely lacking in this department, we really can’t justify not strengthening in this area, and I’ll be really disappointed if we’re starting the season with Friend and Shotton at fullback.

What is our identity?

I'm mild mannered reporter Clark Kent ?

I did wonder about this though.  What is Boro's identity exactly because I'm not sure we have one?

Almost the entire history of the club has been spent in the top two leagues so why would things be any different under Gibson?  Our relatively small fanbase is comfortably in the top 44 clubs in England so again why is it an achievement to be where we should be?  Just because Leeds mega messed up doesn't mean it's an amazing thing that we only partially messed up.

CT did you post that you read the club account when they were published?  If you did Does it say how much the directors take out of the club?
