I like Ben Mee, good player, was linked with a move back to Man City a few years ago, definitely won't be him.

It could possibly be Vydra, but wages would be a sticking point. Nakhi Wells maybe? I don't know, as I say i will find out hopefully. I just hope it an attacking player and not a position that we don't really need, we're pretty good at that you see haha.

It could also be Matthew Lowton

SDS, it’s Dijksteel at Rockliffe

For all those asking about these 4 players at rockcliffe just before weekend. I have done some digging appears it was bola Browne and 2 premiership loan players, sketchy with details but I believe the

He played more minutes than Ayala and I'd rather him in our team than any of the others but £20m is a lot of course it is.  Let's just see what it gets used on though it goes through.

My gut says only a small % will be reinvested If it goes through.

Probably someone crap like Ben Mee but possibly it’s Vydra as we clearly have a big interest in him.

Tbh I think if we get £20m for fry that’s astonishing business, yes he’s got potential but wasn’t even nailed on starter last season. As someone said earlier snap their hands off.

Linjo3. I got to disagree with you on Ben Mee. Very underrated performer who has more than held his own in PL for 3 seasons now. And it is his form which is sole reason Gibson did not get a sniff last season.

Although i would much rather take an attacker from Burnley. Vydra would be good but given JW said he wants to play 4.3.3 not sure where Vydra would fit in. Unless Britt leaves then he could be our new no.9.

I would love that Gudmundsson too. He very effective on either flank but doubt Burnley would be selling him

about a 20th .....is what my gut says .   but there again were highly unlikely to get it all in one upfront payment  anyway.

speaking of Burnley players within our scope  id  be happy with Barnes despite his age  he,d still be a handful at this level .

Probably not reinvested into transfer fees but probably into keeping the club afloat ?

Weren't we linked with him before under Karanka? I like Lowton, decent attacking full back.

Yes we were but i think he their regular right back. Bardsley as understudy. Or is it other way round. Defo take Lowton though. He reminds of Luke Young in that he just a very solid RB both defensively and offensively without being spectacular

It’s Phil Bardsley, 3 year contract

Lowton is probably on more than most of our current squad.

If there's truth to a £20m bid for Fry, then there should be no decision to be made. He's a good defender, plenty of potential - and there's no doubt that down the line he could end up being worth a lot more. However; £20m to a Championship club, in a playing position where we are already reasonably well stocked, with finances tight and when we desperately need to invest in at least one winger. Sell. Asap. Because for any side willing to spend that amount on Fry at this exact moment in time... it's a punt.

This is controversial too, but I actually think Flint might be in for a relatively good season. I stress relatively, as his clumsiness and lack of finesse is definitely a concern. But most good Championship clubs would be more then content to have Ayala and Flint. Plus Wood, Shotton and McNair if opportunity strikes.

He only played because Pulis saw him as versatile.. right back, left back.. I like him but 20mil is 20mil.

He is the best defender at the club by a large margin. Him not playing much was down to pulis being an awful manager
