i think if Britt stays at the club the forward line has to be built around him. Pointless keeping him if not.

I confess I have never been a fan but he can score goals and it will be interesting what Keane can do with him (and Fletcher of course).

In Woody's BBC interview last night, one of the first things he mentioned was Britt and his ability to score goals. So he definitely wants to keep him..

It depends where they want that pressing to come from and where they are wanting to win the ball back.

No point having 3 pressing forwards with a deep midfield as they'll just pop the ball over them.

It's an interesting dilemma to have because hell be looking at bringing in a more pressing game with players who I dont think are good pressers.

Fletcher is a good pressing forward, but I dont think Britt or Braithwaite or Gestede are going to run themselves into the ground for you.

He ought to be careful bigging up our strikers like this, you wouldn't want to make them feel wanted or dare I say it... Confident in their own abilities 😱

I reckon Ayala might be out the door. On big money, injured a lot and last year of his deal.

Probably shouldn't put that in the advert.

1 goal 2 assists in 8 games so far this season. Swedish season works opposite to UK, so they've only just got going. Transfermarkt has him listed as a RW or CF, so would fit in a front 3.

Have you heard anything on this again DZ? It's been the only real rumour for a while now. Just wondering if we can expect it soon.

Gone quiet on this one, either it's done and we're waiting to announce it when pre-season starts or it's not happening.

“Back in 2019 Middlesbrough pulled out of a £2m deal after his agent wanted a £50,000 payment up front. This proved a god send for the star who, after a £85m switch, is set to make his debut for the Catalan giants in tomorrow’s El Classico clash”.

Has there been any further news on Sheraldo Becker? It all looked very promising and now everything has gone quiet.

No starting with a clean slate in your world then ! Perhaps Gibbo should have interviewed you then you could have presented your enlightened vision for our club?

    • The first session today will just be about surviving. The Aussies get a new ball in 5 or so overs I think
    • Personally I would have liked to see Stokes score more last night, fully accept the circumstances, but if we are too passive and cautious this too can assist the Aussies. One thing for certain we can not rely on Butler getting runs if he comes in early today
    • We really need both stokes and root to get a century, not too confident with the rest of the batters left
    • Well very pleased to see England close the day on 156-3. Very controlled and patient batting for most of the day from Root and Denly have gotten us to this stage. Stokes in the last hour of the day came into bat at 5 in survival mode and made 2 runs (not out) off 50 balls. The first session of tomorrow's play will decide the outcome of this test match (and the Ashes). If Stokes and Root can survive the first 8 overs of play unscathed. At which point the new ball is available to Australia. They will then have to contend with the new ball and the threats that come with it. If they can get to lunch unscathed after the new ball I think that is when the test becomes ours to lose. At this stage I'd happily take England scoring 30 runs all session if it meant losing no wickets. It will also be England's highest ever run chase if we are successful.
    • Our problem has been that we just don't score goals, we've been amongst the lowest scorers in the championship both pre and post our 1 season recently in the PL. This season, although it's early on, seems to be going the same way. While Britt does get goals, he's not what you'd call prolific, we've been set up as a defensive team for a few years now through different managers and scoring has been an added bonus to not conceding goals.
