Well done Marcus!

What positions are getting paid out? I can’t see it confirmed but the last thing I could see was a suggestion for 1st and 2nd being paid?

Are we up for doing it next season?

Is there any point Marcus keeps winning it? Will do it again if people want!

How about we take some of the cash and do a monthly prize too? So even those at the bottom have a chance at winning something if they have a good month?

That or do a draft league alongside to keep people interested?

Why not do it as a head to head league instead next season? It keeps people down the bottom interested all year that way.

I'm up for attempting a draft next year like, if only as a freebie to test out the format

With the game due to open in next week again. It’s time to start thinking about format again. I suggest what we should do is get the people wanting to participate to join, then we can decide what format we want to do.

My idea is maybe £7.50 entry this year £5 to a standard league and £2.50 to a head to head league.  Both winner takes all.

I will do the same as every year, take payment via PayPal and issue code when league opens.

Earlier the better though so we can gauge the format we want.

I will start taking entrants from now and give code as soon as it opens.

any ideas will be grateful and discussed in this forum. Maybe put it too a vote.

anyone want My PayPal account again please inbox me.

I don’t care what happens as long as someone different wins. So let’s up all our game

I'm in again.

Do you have the same account details as before?

I'll transfer the money that way.

I'll definitely register for the money league, I think we should stick with the classic format and maybe have a bonus H2H/Draft league.

There's also this as a new option for championship fantasy football: https://www.gaffr.io/

No problems i think the head to head league should be optional £2.50 and 5£ for usual league. If you want to enter again pm me and I will send PayPal or account details

    • I suspect a lot of people, like me, are frustrated by the fact it's a fairly weak league this season, and we aren't far away from getting into the play-offs. I honestly believe if we added a creative ACM and a one-in-two-to-three striker, we'd finish top six. But as it is, we don't have the strength in depth to change things, and the likes of Wing are luxury players we can't afford to start with. Yesterday was a punch in the tits, but I suspect Warnock will have the players fully fired up midweek, and there were probably some extenuating circumstances yesterday. And if Watmore is even 70 per cent fit, he starts, simply because nobody else can give us that creative spark.
    • It’s disappointing knowing we probably aren’t going to ‘have a go’ in January. Obviously Covid circumstances make it a slightly easier pill to swallow but feel like there is a real opportunity to be taken this season. Financially, there’s some big hitters ahead of us but we’ve more than matched them in the games we’ve played against them.  We’ve got a good core and just need to add a bit of quality that will allow us to eliminate some of of our inconsistency.  No doubt having Fletcher back will help but that quality out wide I still think we miss and I still think we’re without genuine technical ability in midfield. Hourihane would give us exactly that so fingers crossed we can push through a loan deal.  Yesterday’s result was a really hard one to take and watch so I’m hoping Gibson will have seen what we all saw and is willing to put his hands in his pocket and give us a real chance of breaking into the top six and establishing ourselves.
    • How did I forget Downing.  Woody is the proverbial bad penny isn’t he.
