Brunners 7,952
So with the window settled I think I would probably start with the team against Luton. Too soon for Dijksteel to start for us IMO and Marv deserves another start. Fletcher you could swap for Browne but with a goal and an assist and some actually pretty decent advanced stats, that seems a bit harsh too. I suppose you could consider swapping Shotton for Friend but I don't know how much of an upgrade that would be. So same team for me, Randolph Howson - Ayala - Shotton - Coulson Clayton McNair - Wing Johnson - Britt - Fletcher
BoroJake 2,331
Team for me has to be Randolph Dijksteel- Ayala-Friend-coulson Clayton Wing-Mcnair Browne-Britt-Fletcher Possibly harsh to leave Johnson out, but that’s what I would do. Really think Dijksteel has to play over howson too

I wouldn’t be dropping McNair if it were up to me. Was one of our best players at Luton, pressed well and won the ball on countless occasions in the final third. Loved his energy and willingness to drive forward. Hopefully there is more to come with him. He has all the attributes to be a quality CM. Strong, Athletic, good on the ball, can win headers, not afraid to put a foot in etc.

Downsouth 6,176
Bretford one of those teams that beat us at The Riverside during our 6 game defeated in a row sequence and with us scoring first,. What a good way to start your first home game in charge. Woodgate knows what the expectations will be from the home crowd and I believe he will set out and deliver the goods. Going to be a thrill of a match and probably similar to the Luton game. TMIGOTS....so far! Definitely because my Grandson sees his first live Boro game (just hope the 4 hour journey home afterwards is a pleasant one filled with happy memories)

Taking britt off for friend at 1-0 was the beginning of the end.

It was that moment and the following 10 minutes of play that turned even the staunchest Pulis supporter against him.

Borodane 6,246
Think Woodgate is going to start with the same team although I would actually throw Dijksteel in there from the start. I think Watkins is going to have a field day against a slower Howson who is out of place. Get a proper right back in there. Where that leaves Howson is a good question. Do we drop Clayton or McNair? The bold move would be to put McNair at the back instead of Shotton and then have Howson in the middle. Get a ball player at the back but I guess that would be too big a risk. Johnson and Fletcher to start again as neither deserves to get dropped. Scored and assisted a week ago from both flanks. That's what they need to do. Browne and Tav to start in the wide areas on Tuesday in the cup.

By all accounts, Dijksteel seems to be really good at 1v1 defending, strong, quick and athletic. I wouldn’t mind either playing, and understand both decisions. Dijksteel will have had 3 days training now, so wouldn’t be surprised to see him start. If he plays, I think Howson should just be dropped all together, the midfield at Luton shouldn’t be changed, they were class.
DanFromDownSouth 1,706
As said earlier in the week, same team as the Luton game. Going forward, I'd like to see Dijksteel at right-back and Browne out on the left.
