It's not like he lacks any fitness and slotting in at RB shouldn't be the most difficult thing to do. It shouldn't take long to understand the role and it's not like Howson and the others already have a full understanding of how to play and interact in the new system. Browne looked more dangerous in his cameo role than Fletcher too. I’m a fan of Howson in midfield too. Have we gained or lost supports after getting rid of Pulis, promoting Woodgate and trimming the squad by not making any big signings but instead having a vastly different tactic. There must be plenty of people interested in seeing the team after opening the season with a 3-3. What a roller coaster season we had last time that happened. I want to see Browne starting, but I don't think Woodgate can justify dropping Johnson or Fletcher yet. I think dropping Fletcher or Johnson after good performances would hurt squad morale in the long run. Especially Fletcher, last year when he got a run of games he really started to get to grips with Championship football, he's basically a youth player at this stage with the complete lack of first team football in his career.
