Old Codger 3,064
If I remember it was a little damp at that Chelsea Game and the surface was like a gluepot......papers were on about their centre backs, Droy and Wickes being future of England and the perfect partnership.....forget to include the bit about having the turning circle of a 747........everyone remembers Burns getting the goals, but my recollection is that Cummins and Cochrane absolutely tortured them after the first twenty minutes.....if only Stan had been as tall as Juninho, I think he would have lived up to his potential.......but he was another Amer fire sale victim........watched highlights recently on YouTube......."those were the days, my friend".......confidently expect repeat performance on Friday...(yes, nurse, I will take my tablets)
