I feel still doing with the media: Comments: Crewe - First half was negative, 2nd half was a lot better when Britt, Fletcher, McNair came on and that's the positive he took from it. The game didn't give him much to think about for Blackburn selection. He expected the 'different' starting 11 to be knocking his door down to get a place in the League team and thinks that didn't happen at all. The team is simple to pick now. Blackburn - Still got beliefs how he want's us to play, it's a working progress and plans to keep going. Praises Friend and Howson massively and says these are the go to players how they are like everyday - Others should be following these leaders. Booing - Not bothered/not worried, understands why and laughed it off. Happy that people were cheering more at the end of the game and expects it due to a small section of the fans not wanting him at the start, and wont give him much time. Fans - appreciates how good the majority have been so far. Is it normal for one person to ask 99% of the questions?!
RiseAgainst 3,776
Maybe Gestede's 'bilateral hamstring tightness' is actually sickness and diarrhoea? I hear it's been doing the rounds recently. A bit like Gestede's agent trying to find anyone willing to take on a knackered old shire horse.

I guess there's not much to talk about right now, it's early days and I'd assume local media don't want to put a great deal of pressure on him yet whilst national media couldn't care less right now. Plus, the questions aren't finished at that point, he speaks to written media afterwards which is the (probably) more specialised sports writers at the Gazette/Echo etc.

We don't have the quality, cant keep blaming officials and having an unproven manager is not a great mix. He can talk but he needs to start showing us. Gestede's contract needs to be terminated and removed from the club. The fact that they start him is very worrying to me. Anyway very interesting match tomorrow. Hi very long time reader, and I usually love reading what people have got to say but do people really think we are relegation candidates if we don’t win our next match. I know it has not been the greatest of starts to the season but it’s only in its infancy. The crew game was what it was, a mid week game where the majority of the players just did not turn up. I am not saying this squad is even close to be pushing the top teams but it’s still got plenty of top level players who have the experience to grind out results (the old TP way) if need be. We wanted more excitement and I am sure we will see it, just don’t feel the doomsday button needs to be pressed just yet 5

Foogle 2,078
Yep, we got off to an absolute flyer last year and then gradually slipped down the table. Norwich were around the relegation zone, Sheffield United midtable. Can't put much stock into early season results, it's nice to get some points on the board but it's not like we're in bad trouble if we lose this game...

People freaking out just need to look at last season! Norwich didn't win for 8 games or something, I'm pretty sure their first win was against us. Going back a few years does anyone else remember Readings promotion season where they were relegation candidates until christmas and then went up automatically? That was nuts.
Otto42 23
Am afraid it's the social media and 24 hour news generation that means there is no patience anymore. This will be our third league game, you can't really say how the season will pan out until mid October and even then there's scope for a big turnaround. For what it's worth I think this will be a season of transistion with us flirting with play offs and perhaps relegation in equal measure. I for one will be happy to see steady progress both on and off the pitch towards our 'new model' being implemented.

Believe me, we will struggle, we needed that great start last year for the confidence and the points. Granted there are some absolute awful teams in the division but we could be one of them too. With a poor management team in place and lack of experience or a plan B it is not looking good. I hope I am wrong.

I think Woody will learn a lot this year, he does seem a little green at the moment but we've got a strong core of players.

Sometimes teams who start badly continue badly and it ends badly. I bet there are more examples of that than teams starting badly and winning promotion.
