Which backs up my argument that Steve Gibson is to blame.

Really feel sorry for yes man Woodgate though

I agree with that. Woodgate has been shafted royally.

It was just talk as our first choice was Pulis, not Woodgate, in which case the new style etc wouldn't have happened anyway. Final post before returning to self imposed exile.  We seem to have co

im in the same camp as BD .  ive gone through plenty of bad times in the past as well as wonderful times .  ive seen players ranging from  absolute top quality down to rank bad .  right now what i see

I don't think it's all bad. We just need a few players in the  January window. Two centre backs. Two fullbacks. Two centre midfielders and two wingers. And two forwards.

Like him or not Pulis got results.

Woodgate's football is worse than Pulis football at the moment and we can't even get results.

No he didn't. I backed Pulis for a long time mate and I said I'd do it because at the end of the day, he was an experienced manager and he should be capable of getting the results. He categorically did not get the results he should have.

Woody's football is not worse than Pulis football. Pulis just pretty much knew how to get his team how to play it. And he still failed.

The problem is we can't stop Brum from getting the ball on the right hand side, lost count of the amount of times Maxime Colin has took the rest of our team out of the game. Playing far too narrow defensively and leaving massive gaps on our left. Our forward play has been pedestrian, we can't get a grip on the ball.

Once again, can't wait to get in for half time from early on in the game. We've had a lion's share of luck here not to be more than a goal down. Bola needs to be on, whether we change to 3 centre-backs or change left-back, we need to defend wider and hope we can play them through the middle somehow. Perhaps might even be better for us going forward as Britt doesn't have anyone close enough to him at the top end of the pitch for him to get into a good position.

Half-time discussion seems to be blaming our left side problems on Browne for not tracking back, I think that's by design, not down to the individual. We have to change something.

They are hammering us all over the pitch.

I agree we need to go to wing backs though.

What changes at half time?

Needs 10, but we only have 3 and i'd rather keep 1 for later. Johnson for Browne and maybe Saville for Tav. Let's get an extra man in midfield and we can then think about a striker for Clayton/Howson later in the game.

Because this isn't football manager.

Some people want more than a bang average result and 90 mins of absolute boredom.

yes some seem to want bang bad results and 90 mins of rock bottom football ?

Woodgate is out of his depth I agree, but the problem is far worse than him.

And we stand and we sign ' Stevie Gibson was king'

Totally agree, premier league to this in 3 years. And under Gibson it’s only going to get worse.

I'm genuinely amazed that people were hating a season where we finished 7th, but are happy watching a season where there is a very real possibility of us being in league 1 this time next Season.

I'm not. That's exactly what the majority of people on here seemed to want last year.

Even at the cost of League 1 football? People would rather see us lose 4-3 than a 1-0 win it seems these days. I just find it weird. We could get relegated and people would still be happy just as long as it's not the guy wearing a tracksuit doing it.

I would say that woodgates football the last games are way worse than Pulisball.... I rather watch a team that has a plan and everyone atleast work as a team than what we are seeing now....

Come on you can't be serious that he didn't get results.

Apart from the six game blip in the season, we always bounced back after a poor result and got either a draw or a win.

Pulis team created changed and were solid at the back. Everything were not this season.

I'm not blaming woody for the record as I want him to succeed, but that's never going to happen under Gibson.

Pulis spent 20 million last season though and a much better squad, of course he was going to do better, doesn’t make him a better manager than Woodgate.

To be honest they are both absolutely *** and should be no where near this club

But to say I’d rather go down than finish 7th is astonishing!! It’s not like we are playing free flowing football and losing games 4-3? We are worse than poor with no sign of getting any better. Team are clueless and there seems no-one out there able to stop the rot
