RiseAgainst 3,793
Mine was in March 1997. We beat Chelsea 1-0, with a goal from the little fella. I was only at the match cos I was on holiday in Durham with my mates, one of whom was a Chelsea fan. I didn't realise the team was in a relegation battle, but I loved the feverish atmosphere and I was an instant fan. Within three months of attending my first Boro game, we'd lost two cup finals and been relegated. I've never been the same since.

Debuts to Alan Comfort & Trevor Putney & after this performance we Boro fans thought we were heading back to the 1st division Thanks to a last home win of the season v the Geordies & Leeds beating Bournemouth to relegate them, survived, avoiding relegation with the skin of our teeth
